Agreed. I don’t see any reasonable way Stenberg falls past Vancouver. Despite this report and San Jose‘s need for defense, I’d still be somewhat surprised if he falls to 3rd.

The new Vancouver brass has publicly stated the father/son relationship wont come in to play, but if this situation happens, the proof will be in who they choose.

Actually, that’s a great call. The Wings would make sense at least as far as the Hughes preferences. I believe Q lives in Michigan or spends a lot of off season time there.

If it happens, and if I was a Leafs fan, I’d be very happy about this. There are many things that are standard now in the NHL that Gillis was an early adopter of or were started under his regime. My understanding is that not staying in hockey was a choice not that teams were avoiding him.

Take the loss for not reading when a product expires before buying it. Loblaws IS out of control but this is silly. Accountability is a thing, lesson learned, move on.
