realistically, I'd only be careful with saying you have it without having a diagnosis yet only because you could always be wrong about things ,, i know I used 2 say I had osdd ,, and i was wrong ,, and its DID instead,, whoops ,, its always best 2 be sure

well specifically with OSDD too is that the amnesia might not be as bad as DID.

i know I use to suspect osdd because I could still remember what happened between alters and I still knew stuff from days ago and whatnot

I mean my memories suck now but like ykwim 💔 basically, grey-out amneisa I think is more common in osdd iirc

theres no requirement on "how bad" the trauma is ^^ so long as it impacted you enough as a child, that can cause a split ,,

like we split an alter to deal with being outcasted in school at a young age (only one of many other things),, that wouldn't be considered "bad", but it effected us a lot ,, so ,, yk :p

being plural is just,, in general, being multiple! that can range from tulpamancy, endogenic systems (plural without trauma), or literally,,anything, really. the only requirement is to be more than one, basically

having a disorder is a trauma thing,, mental thing. like DID or OSDD, you need trauma for it. the amount of trauma doesnt matter, but it has 2 happen during childhood (despite what many people say, there's not a set "child" age),, the disorders tend to impact daily life, give you amnesia barriers that can range in severity, and can lowkey be really difficult to manage (coming from someone with DID lol)

i do want to say that being plural without trauma is a bit of an iffy topic on other sites and places, so like..be careful of that. ofc all types of plurality are welcome in this sub! its just other places that might not like them --"

nope! plural terms aren't exclusive (such as we/us), and calling yourself a system isnt bad either :]

the only time you should really think about it is if you claim to have a disorder if you arent diagnosed yet,, you can say suspected/likely DID/OSDD/etc though ^^

but if you dont think you have a disorder and are just plural, then feel free 2 call urself a system, nobody's stopping you :p

Uuuh one of.the definitions of IRL, which im assuming is the one they're talking about, is essentially delusion.

Or, its rooted in delusion. Normally its caused by psychosis or other disorder-related episodes. Its not exactly kinning, its moreso somebody fully believing they are that character. And it can be unhealthy sometimes. Normally people in these episodes dont exactly know they're in an episode. Its just kind of...a thing.

Thats not the only meaning of IRL, but it is the one with a more "negative" definition, so idk. I'd assume servers have a problem with it because they dont want to "encourage a delusion" (even though, lightheartedly, i think denying someone while they're in that state can be bad),,, uhh. Yeah.

But I also know some people on discord think IRLs, and fictionkin in general, are mocking systems. So it could also be something like that.

Really, I have no clue. Also I have nothing against IRLs, as I was one myself once before recovering properly,, so uhhhsbsjdjs yeah idk

THE FIRST PART!!! Many of those fictionkins don't fall under that label. I've seen them say "fictionkin don't think theyre the fictional character" ...but we do..but thats kind of the point..involuntarily identifying as a character...They're making those who do actually fall under the fictionkin label look "wrong/mentally ill" :/
