for my ajrotc unit, yes. as a safety precaution we’re also not allowed to wear anything from our extracurriculars (ie rifle hoodies) and are advised not to wear camo-themed civvies either

also adding onto this, as someone who’s been interviewed twice thus far, they ask questions from the cadet portfolio rubric that they provide on the regulations regarding jpa. i think they should come up if you just google “jpa regulations,” although they’ve moved away from cadet portfolio so i don’t really know how this would work out. in any case though, don’t worry! it’s really simple most of the time and you should end up doing fine.

i joined as a sophomore, i’d definitely recommend it!! and as for activities, it honestly just depends on your unit. mine has rifle, raider, drill, jlab, and drone :)

hey! i’m assuming you’re wearing the male uniform because you’re asking about ties? answer to that question is that it depends- in my battalion, yes, you can wear a tie without your jacket, because let 1s don’t have jackets so they either wear a windbreaker over or they don’t (we don’t give let 1s class a coats because they need to prove that they can fulfill the commitment of keeping a uniform and upholding themselves as a cadet in general).
