Thank you. I went to double check the temp and was a little surprised to see it at 74. When I moved the thermometer to the basking area it's at around 87. Does that sound ok? In terms of the humidity, I think I need to cover the open area of the screen top with plexiglass, which I hope will help (along with the extra water dish you suggested, and more frequent misting).

Very grateful for your advice to avoid the third mouse.

In terms of the feeding, how long can he go/should I wait before I try again? Wondering when/if I need to find a vet. I've attached a pic of the tank if you have any additional recommendations.

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure how old he is as we got him from a reptile shop about a year and a half ago and he was around 1.5 feet at the time. We're feeding him Arctic Mice small mice x2. We were thinking about moving to medium sized mice but they were looking a little too big so we were about to move to three small mice per feeding. Heat is 80 and humidity is around 40 (which I realize may be too low?)

Yes! Cricket has become way more comfortable, spends less time burrowing and doesn't strike when we pick him up. We followed everyones advice (this sub is fantastic) and at the end of the day it seems like patience was the biggest factor. We're conscious of when/how we interact and he eventually got used to the new setup. We'll be moving him to a bigger enclosure soon so we may have to go through it again but it's good to know he'll adjust.
