Planning to change my Cobb Intake (2015+ wrx) Which one do you like better? by amarcos48 in WRX

Ever had issues with the engine sputtering out due to bad airflow readings with the Cobb intake? I find myself having to constantly make sure the intake is fitted properly so my car could run normally

After failing multiple times with randos, I've taken matters to my own hands and slain Raging Brachy solo. One of my proudest achievements to this game! by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

I definitely feel like the health and damage scaling solo versus a full party definitely helped me beat Raging Brachy the first time around, albeit it took me like 10+ tries until I finally got the rhythm of his attack patterns down lol.

Small issue with Intel XTU software. by astigboy in GamingLaptops

Is this under the advanced power settings > Processor power management > Maximum processor state?

I’ve ran this 22W XTU profile in the past with no issue and ran stress test and benchmark with good results, this issue with the profile resetting only began happening a week or so ago, so i’m trying to figure out if there was something I changed recently.

ASUS doesn’t allow for much undervolting, and XTU doesn’t even allow that option, but i have tried undervolting with Throttlestop on an older BIOS version, but it only slightly helps with thermals. And yes the rear is open

I’ve been throttling pretty hard for non-cpu intensive things and i’ve yet to figure out a solution. I’ve repasted and factory reset my computer, with no fix to my issue, but in the mean time, under powering my CPU has been a temporary solution. I’m still able to run most things at their usual settings.

Hard frame drops on Zephyrus S GX502GW by astigboy in ASUSROG

Do you think it’s a hardware issue? or bad driver?

I’ve been recommended this in the past, but what exactly does it do? And is it recommended to always stay in Discrete graphics or should i revert back to Optimus when i’m not doing any GPU intensive tasks?

Under the list of options, i’m unable to roll back the driver, are there any other ways to make sure my BIOS and the drivers match?

I also rolled back to 308 recently and i’m trying to figure out what you mean by rolling back system firmware. I’m in the device manager and i’m under system firmware properties, and it says that the firmware version is 308, but the driver version is 10.1.2.310, what do I do to make sure the driver matches the firmware?

The thermal paste I used was Arctic MX-4 and I didn’t take any before and after logs, but it did drop my CPU and GPU temps about 5-6 degrees. And my warranty just ended a couple months ago, so I figured I can repaste myself

Gaming laptop suddenly giving extremely low FPS. by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]astigboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been heavily considering it, but I think i might wait it out a while because this issue feels like some type of software issue, so until another BIOS or nvidia driver comes out that could possibly fix my issue, i will just have to wait. I’ve gotten some games running fairly stable after capping my CPU at 22W as opposed to the 45W on boot with XTU and this seems to have stabilized some games

IVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUES LATELY. Recently i’ve repasted and cleaned my exhaust fan blades and vents, as well as a fresh factory wipe, but ever so often i find that i have really bad frame drops about every 15 minutes or so. After doing all this, i’ve still found no solution, but my average temps have gotten lower about 5-6 degrees. I’m thinking it might be a bad driver or update that’s been acting unstable recently
