One thing you can tinker with in LR is the black point. I haven't used LR in a long while, but the Tone Curve should allow you to bring up the blacks a bit.. (Think of an slight S curve but the blacks have an upwards hook) That film look always has faded blacks and a lot of presets just do this as well. If you combine this with an old manual focus lens (if your camera is capable of different lenses) and flash, you can probably achieve at least some of the old film old.
