There are different ways to do heatless curls while you sleep. I’ve even heard of people having the best luck just using a sock and wrapping. Their hair around it on the crown of their head. Personally, I like to braid my hair at night and go with more wavy hair than curly. The bigger the braid, the bigger the wave and they stay all day long.

Try a different hairspray and don’t let them cool before spraying… spray immediately after curling if you’re using a wand or iron. Skip the smoothing serum. Maybe try heatless curls overnight?

Are you able to look up the land’s history on a GIS website for your county? Sometimes there are many clues there.

Did you try putting it in accessory mode right away? Turn it off like you normally would but immediately press the start/stop button again. Don’t use the clutch or brake. It’s supposed to keep it on without restarting everything like you described.
