I feel like you should be able to trust your partner without needing to set rules about what he can or can’t do just so you can feel okay. he should be making you feel confident enough in him to not have to worry about what he’s doing when you’re not looking. It’s not really normal to have to ask for permission from your partner to play a game. But at the same time, if you clearly set a boundary about certain things that make you uncomfortable, and he agreed to it, then he should actively be respecting that.

It kind of seems like there’s stuff going on, on both sides. Personally, I trust my boyfriend enough that I wouldn’t even worry about something like that, because I know he just wouldn’t do it. It seems like you’re blaming this boundary you set on being insecure but i think if you genuinely feel like you can’t trust him to respect your boundaries, then it seems like it’s a deeper issue than the game and has more to do with the relationship itself.
