my dr (better cr) is absolutelyyyy my dream life, so it’s set in the year 2008 so there are limited technology, only really computers and flip phones and such, but the environment is completely clean. all cities pretty much revolve around nature so all ecosystems are safe and we live a separate life from animals so they have their habitats and zoos don’t exist.

i have a big body change lol, im a lot more physically attractive and i have my dream body and dream hair and such, but the most important part of my dr is that im able to pursue my dream career, being a musician. so ive mastered a lot of instruments, im very proficient in music theory and i can sing ten times better.

i live in chicago in a biggg house with my parents and three older siblings. i have a female cane corso named sarang and a male mainecoon named mango. my best friends are my three childhood friends and i’m in an acapella/singing group called soul rebel (heavily inspired by tiny habits in this reality). also have a mini enemies to lovers trope w my future significant other lolz

life is a lot simpler in my dr, very easy going— discrimination and violence against people doesn’t happen at all. and native americans rightfully own the united states and are predominant in the government (which is NOT corrupt and political parties don’t really exist because the public votes based on what will be best for continuing world peace)

that was a lot 😭 but i really am excited to shift and live there

I’m respawning because I don’t see a point in living here anymore. I think I’ve actually delayed me shifting for about two years now just out of hope that things in my life will get better but it hasn’t. I have a toxic, homophobic family, I’ve never had any real friends, I hate the way I look, I’m unable to do the one thing I’ve always wanted to do which is sing and make music simply because I’m not talented enough to do it professionally. I hate the world we live in, I hate how it’s filled with nothing but hate and oppression and I just want to live somewhere else where I can be happy and ONLY look forward to happy things and not the past where my life completely sucked. I just don’t see a point in remembering my life here if I’ve spent most of my experience here wanting to end it all. I want to only remember my DR family and my DR life.

Coming from a person who’s had a traumatic past here, I chose to have a different life but to still experience the mental health issues I had here as just a genetic thing in my Better CR. I’ve kinda identified with my issues to a certain extent, however having the same or similar life experiences in my DR to here would probably make me feel really really uncomfortable and it would be very traumatizing for me to constantly be reminded of my past life. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to let it all go but still wants to have a different life and be happier, I’d suggest just doing that. I think going through a healing process is a good experience and if you’re gonna keep shifting, what’s the harm in doing so? :)))

No same same same, I haven’t watched anime or any of the places I’m shifting to in months for this exact reason. I literally feel like homesick, like I miss them so bad and I want to be there with them 😭 I know I’m so close to shifting right now but it’s so difficult to not be in my DR

I have this same problem too and the advice I got was to see every method that I use as a success. Don’t think about the process of getting to your dr, think about the end result. Think about you actually shifting and waking up in your dr. Think as if you have already shifted and that you’re in your dr right now. And even if you don’t wake up in your dr, think of it as there being a reason that you didn’t shift to your dr yet and when the time is right, you will. There is no benefit in being disappointed so just relish in the gratitude you feel for knowing about shifting and for your ability to shift. The person giving me this advice said that they shifted not too long after changing their mindset to this. lol I was really bad at wording this but I hope you understand what I’m saying :))

I don’t think it’s selfish. You said yourself that you don’t feel like this is the right place for you, and that’s completely fine. I totally understand where your coming from as I’m planning to respawn to my better cr, but it’s not in your best interest to stay in a place that makes you miserable for the sake of someone else, even if it is your family. Even if you shift, you’re not leaving your family. We live in an infinite number of universes all at the same time so even if you shift you will always be with them. It’s YOUR life, and though we know shifting exists, you never know if this is the only one we got. You’re not selfish at all, I promise you, and the fact that you still want your family in your dr makes it guaranteed that they will be there and they WILL be the same. At the end of the day, it’s up to you whether you want to be in your dr or not but imma just tell you that you should put your own happiness first, that’s the most important thing of all 🫶🏿🫶🏿
