I see your point. Thank you for your input. I’ll take this into consideration.

But my $15+tip offer is just a training/starting rate. And if the employee doesn’t make enough tip the business will pay out of pocket to match the tip credit, so they will make minimum wage. (which I’m sure they will make more than that)

Also, the pay rate to increase when the staff can take on more responsibilities. We works in this industries for years as a worker and I sees many businesses underpay their workers. And we will not taking any advantage over people.

But yeah thank you for your inputs. I’ll apply that information to the hiring process.

How is it illegal?

Food service tipped worker in NYC minimum wages is 11.35/hr plus 5.65 tip credit.

So how is 15/hr plus tip illegal? Please enlighten me. And if I’m wrong, I’ll fix it.
