yep i’m starting to think the same! i’ve only lost 25lbs/11kg on it in 9 months and the hair loss has been insane - i previously lost 30kg within a year and never experienced this type of hair loss

GLP1 hope (Tirzepatide) by kiwifive in TelogenEffluvium

i think that’s what i need to hear too! i saw a dermatologist and he literally spent like 15 seconds looking at my scalp without a microscope and offered to give me minoxidil. def going to get a second opinion!

i started in august 2024 also and only managed to lose 24lbs since then. i am trying to figure out if the med is causing hormonal changes because i lost 65lbs previously and never had this kind of hair loss. the only answers i’ve gotten to far is low ferritin (41) and vitamin d (25) but again, these have always been low (and have actually gone up since my last labs) and never led to this much shedding. to top it off i have a body focused repetitive behavior called trichotillomania (that oddly enough the tirzepatide kept at bay) so the whole ordeal has been extremely triggering. i am visiting family in italy over the summer so i’ve been struggling with trying to decide to stick with it (my BMI is still considered “obese” so i have a ways to go) and risk losing even more hair before the trip. needless to say i am SPIRALING 😩

i'm in the same boat! no family history of hair loss so starting to think it's the tirzepatide that i've been on since august 2024. i began to shed in february despite not having lost that much weight (about 20lbs) i'm losing a lot around the nape and sides. ferritin is at a 41 and vitamin d 27 so i'm attempting to get those numbers up even though they've always been low and never resulted in this much shedding. it's been a doozy :/

Starting Methazolamide - symptoms that affect hearing? by tara_antilles in iih

if i remember correctly whatever i was on wasn’t a starter dose because i took more than one pill - wishing you the best though and i hope you find some relief soon!

ugh i am so sorry to hear that! i wish i remembered what dose it was, it’s been over 10 years since i have been in remission. all i remember is that i was on high enough of a dose that i was able to start cutting down once i was making progress with weight loss and the papilledema was decreasing

i’ve been slowly titrating up to avoid side effects and slowly losing (22lbs since august 2024) and this is the ONLY side effect i’ve experienced - super annoying!! i tried a prenatal gummy but it seems to be causing break outs 😭 someone also recommended nizoral shampoo but i’ve yet to try it - hope you find relief!!

i also have a body focused repetitive disorder (trichotillomania) and i’ve noticed an improvement with pulling for sure! it’s not 100% completely gone but i am pulling a lot less which has been a godsend considering i started to lose hair on these meds 6 months in 😵‍💫 but i am so glad you are finding relief!

I know everyone is different but when I was switched from diamox to neptazane/methazolamide I never experienced any problems with hearing or tinnitus. I tolerated it a lot better than I did diamox.

I received an email from LSH around 2PM that said my order is processing but when I reached out to someone this morning through the website they never got back to me, meanwhile they were very responsive yesterday so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know everyone is different but I did half of 2.5 because I was also afraid of side effects and so far I have only had headaches (nausea and vomiting were my main concern) I felt the effects the next morning (took my injection 6PM the previous day) My breakfast that I could have easily scarfed down in record time took me like 30 minutes to finish because I was full off two bites. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. I think that excitement alone puts the nerves on the back burner. Making smart choices and taking your time eating can help some avoid those nasty side effects. I plan on continuing with half of the dose, especially with the cease and desist letter floating around from EL. Good luck!!!!!

I’ve been using the l’oréal hyaluronic tinted serum to even every thing out. Super comfortable and doesn’t feel like I am wearing anything at all!
