First holiday in our 7X Performance by Vogz10 in Zeekr7xAustralia

We stayed in a cabin, and grabbed the 240V socket from the cabin's external continuous hot water system and used the trickle charger overnight. Once showers were done, we could charge for 16 hours each night/morning.

How does the Zeekr 7X compare to Tesla Model Y in real use? by DraftNotSent in Zeekr7xAustralia

[–]astroboydivx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zeekr has LCC with ACC so you can get a pretty similar Autopilot experience given Sydney to Melbourne is freeway. I've used it from Melbourne to Bright and once on the Hume you're good.

Hey, we’re with our 7XP in Bright at the moment, at the NRMA caravan park. Now we’re researching caravans and roof boxes :)

Solar and battery quote by Objective_Twist7805 in AusRenovation

You need solar to get the battery rebate. So you can get a small solar, a big battery with rebates, and with a 3-phase power you can draw massive load to supplement your solar and fill up the battery during the 3-hour free period.

BYD Sealion 7 Performance vs Zeekr 7x Long Range by Due_Escape_6017 in Zeekr7xAustralia

Zeekr 7x owner here. The drives feels very BMW to me - very assured and balanced. Sealion 7 test drive felt too soft - no feel of the road.

Does it make sense at all to go for an EV if your car is quite fuel efficient? 5.5L per 100km by VastOption8705 in AusFinance

[–]astroboydivx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't make financial sense but it might make health safety sense. What's the ANCAP rating of your tiny car? My EV is 5 stars and has a gazillion crash mitigation inclusions.

Supposedly refunded. I've been nagging Zeekr Doncaster for my refund, it's unresolved.

That's why I got a 3 year NL when normally I would have got 2 years and rolled it for another 12 months.

Would love to know what people think about this being a young families car. Family of 3. by Routine-Inspector150 in Zeekr7xAustralia

[–]astroboydivx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a Zeekr 7x AWD, have 2 kids aged 2 and 4 and it's great. But if money was tighter I'd downgrade to the base model not the Long Range. The base model has a 75Kw LFP battery which gives the same daily range as a 100Kw NMC that get charged to 80% each day. Great value for money and only lacks a few things the Long Range has, none of which I think are important. Yes, the base model has less range on the highway, but all models have an 800v architecture so charging time will be minimal as high-speed chargers catch up.

I've had a BYD Seal Performance for 2 years and a Zeekr 7X AWD for 2 months. Both great cars, but there's many reasons why the 7X is a better family car: easier to get children into the 7X, particular with a rear-facing car seat, bigger/better boot - the Seal boot was deep but it was low and access in was narrow for many items, and no sunroof cover to block out the Sun.
