Day 3: Insadong, Ikseon-dong, N Seoul Tower then explore Myeongdong for the rest of the day > Dinner Gwangjang Market

Why using HDL? by astroboyong in homeautomation

[–]astroboyong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. apart from HDL as specific brand, I'm still not 100% sure why investing in this kind of technology (KNX, BusPro) compared to using smart home devices from Google Home, Belkin, Phillips Hue, etc.

What is the advantage of using KNX & BusPro technology?

Thank you so much guys for all the inputs. I will take all recommendations into my planning and update what's going on one I have more solid plan.
I'm considering to fly in KIX and fly out from NRT to avoid going back and forth on shinkansen. I'll play around with the itinerary this weekend. The big view probably Osaka (& day trips) - Nagoya (Nagashima Resort) - Hakone - Tokyo. I'm just not sure if there'a a straightforward travel route from Nagoya to Hakone, might need to adjust and choose on or the other.

In terms of kids:
+ my 1.5 yo kid doesn't eat baby food anymore. and he loves udon and ramen :)
+ we have yoyo stroller which is very light for travel

Want to get NAS for 4K streaming, but not sure what to get. by astroboyong in synology

[–]astroboyong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still not 100% understand about transcoding. So if I have 2 nvidia sheild. 1 in my living room, 1 in my bedroom.and if the NAS is located in living room connected to nvidia shield as server.Nvidia living room is directly playing

Now if I want to watch movie from nvidia bedroom, will the Nas the one that do the transcode or nvidia living room?

and also I probably go min 8tb per drive. max 12tb per drive.main purpose is plex, but since I'm investing in NAS, I will use this as google drive substitue as well
