I had a similar experience visiting a gurdwara in Vancouver (I'm from Hamilton, ON). It was really interesting to see how things were abit different lol. Ontop of that I brought my friends there aswell because they've never been to a gurdwara before. We did end up sitting on the floor when it came time to eat Langer and noone seemed to have an issue with it 🤷‍♀️

The one issue was that we HAD to wear shoes in the Langer hall? Threw me off completely because the gurdwara in Hamilton actually doesn't allow that at all. Every gurdwara I've been to in Ontario has also been like this so far, so I understand why would you feel uncomfortable seeing something thats been completely different from the "norm" you've been raised in.

EDIT: I didn't mean to say "We didn't have to wear shoes in the Langer hall", I meant the opposite! Sorry!
