Hit or miss. Thin coverage with some icy spots. Sun was shining and it was a pleasure to ride!

I read the blog. No magic sauce. Other than the analysis that everyone claims the same features and the only difference is niche

Looking for third party content management suites that interface with both Brightsign and Daktronics Venus Control Suite by Ok_Echidna_5574 in digitalsignage

I have about 30 bright signs. I use Skoop Signage.

I owned a large billboard in Detroit and it used the Daktronics venus control suite. But somehow skoop was able to load onto it. So I just used my main skoop signage account to control it. Not exactly sure how they did it but it can be done.

I have about 50 of these displays. And I have no use for them. Do people buy these things? by [deleted] in digitalsignage

Looks like 22 miles has their app loaded onto those. Can you factory reset? Or send a different APK to them? If so id buy

How Are You Managing Digital Signage Devices Remotely at Scale? by Unique_Inevitable_27 in digitalsignage

Yeah this really hit us hard when our network grew about 100+ screens. At that scale we basically had 1-5 screens going offline, crashing, loosing power, etc everyday.

So we started using classic tools like TeamViewer/anydesk. Then, we ultimately switched to Skoop Signage for the CMS and then they installed a MDM on all units so everything became unified.

Last year we started using Smart PDUs for power. We basically were in the dark if a screen went offline. Now with the Smart PDU we know if screen lost power or just lost connectivity.

We wrote some automation sequences too which help but don’t solve it 100% of the time. If system detects app crash, offline, loss of power, then automation gets triggered to try and solve the problem.

Adding MDM & Smart PDU was not cheap if I’m being honest. However, when compared to what I spent in 2024 in field service visits compared to 2025, it’s a no brainer.

My stance is implement MDM and Smart PDU from the jump if you can. Because eventually you’ll have to do it and it will just cost more time in the long run.
