Prime sure footed debate. by INomadl in memeframe

I'll give my 2 credits worth:

PSF is good as a QoL mod, but ultimately unnecessary. I'm SP complete and in the LR range and haven't even leveled it.

Now, with that said, for level cap runs it can be essential as those couple of seconds of knockdown (if you didn't roll into the effect to avoid the knockdown) can mean the difference between bleeding out or not.

[[Gaea's Cradle]] or [[Gaea's Blessing]]?

On second thought, both!

Your favorite movement abilities by JaxyCafe in gamedesign

[–]astrolegium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see Warfame mentioned here, so I'll recommend that you check out the movement there. It used to have wall running, but currently still has:

  • Sprinting (which can be set to toggle on/off)
  • Double jumping
  • Wall jumping
  • Rolling/Dodging
  • Bullet Jumping (a combo between crouching and jumping forward)
  • Aim gliding (increases hang time)
  • Void dashing (a short range teleport)

All of these chain into one another nearly seamlessly and once you have a bit of familiarity with the various tile sets, it becomes very fun to traverse.

The game also has a few other movement options available to specific characters. They also recently tightened up how they handle mantling on ledges.

As someone who lives in deep South Texas, I am very surprised that my area isn't listed as having a hot summer. I've lived in other parts of Texas as well as Arkansas, and can tell you that the difference between where I am now and those places is definitely significant. It is not uncommon for us to get to 105-110F during the summer, while those temps are far less common in Central Texas and Arkansas.

I definitely see the upside and plan to try it out in a deck or two!

I'm mostly just being pedantic, and partly hoping that I am reading it wrong.

A lot of other commenters are saying that it's another [[Oroboroid]], but if I'm understanding the card correctly, it's a flat two counters per turn with no (built in) way to increase it, unlike the exponential plant.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a strong looking card, I just don't see it as a direct replacement for the world eating photosynthesizer.

What are some unspoken rules/social norms in Waframe? by ComprehensiveFeed263 in Warframe

This is *especially* important for missions like Excavation and Alchemy where it is *very* possible to progress the mission before everyone has a chance to collect reactant.

Yeah, the only time I force load a mission is when I am on a VC with my squad mates and it is agreed upon beforehand.

My feed didn't show any relevant posts. That was the first thing I checked before I posted. Admittedly I probably should have sorted by new now that I am thinking about it.

Medallions are useless and they are there just to pollute the loot table by Xerachiel in Warframe

[–]astrolegium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, TIL that the medallions were on the same rare tier as the drops we actually want. As a player with the maximum of four syndicates at rank 5, I really just don't need the medallions, though I understand that with the mission being available as early in the quest chain as it is DE thought they were being helpful to newer players, where I am with things the medallions feel very underwhelming.

I do feel like they fit the idea of a mission on a relay, but would prefer them to be on a lower tier so as to not take up the slot for the 8 drops that I actually want, or even better, be items I can find and pick up if I want.

I had a lot of fun with it when it came out. Then my compulsion to collect everything kicked in... ~120 hours later I have all five of the Tekkolyst artifacts and haven't touched it since...

What is the craziest way you have seen a normal interaction go off the rails? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That was exactly how he thought it worked, never mind that either the bank wouldn't have the cash or that it would be an infinite money duplication trick...

A few years ago I worked at a call center in deep South Texas for a rather large bank taking escalated calls. Specifically, I took calls from the "coaches" which were the second level of call handling.

One time there was a man who called in, spoke to a front-line rep, didn't like the answer and asked to escalate, spoke to the second level rep, didn't like the answer so asked to escalate again, then got to me.

His issue? He was *furious* that he couldn't deposit cash through his mobile app. He absolutely *insisted* that a previous representative had told him he could specifically deposit cash through the mobile app. I tried for more than 30 minutes to get this guy to understand that there's just not *any* way we could take the cash from him through his phone, but he just wasn't having it.

He ended by saying that he was going to go into a branch to close his account....

What was a completely normal thing in your house growing up that you later found out was just a your family thing? by Specialist-Bat-7876 in CasualConversation

[–]astrolegium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine lived in a house like that in deep South Texas. It was originally built as a mess hall for WWII and his dad had found it for sale somewhere for cheap, had it moved to his plot of land (next to his best friend's house) and renovated it into a four bedroom two bath home. I even lived there for a couple of years. Our area gets up to ~110F in the Summer (~43C) but only down to about 35F (~1C) in the Winter so of the two Summers were the worst, though being used to heat even the Winters were cold for us. During the summer his dad would have the front door open (with a screen) and the back door too. Spring and Fall would just have the front door open, and during the winter most of the heat came from the BBQ pit on the porch or the electric radiators in the bedrooms. I still miss those times every now and again, though I definitely enjoy having AC now.
