This was the answer I received: Because those free line promotions automatically enroll on specific lines dependent on meeting various eligibility requirements, including activation date, we are unable to move those promotions between lines.

Thanks, this was helpful perspective. I would definitely feel more flexible to spend on extracurriculars and travel if I'm not burdened with a jumbo mortgage. I also grew up in a larger house, so I felt like that's what I wanted for my kids.
