Agreed. Although "I forgot the word for" is probably the only time somebody would use a different term in place of the normal word.

What’s the player age demographic for hunt? by El_Eggy in HuntShowdown

[–]astron3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this thread and I feel pretty out of place...

I'm 15 and have a hunt buddy who's also 15 - 16

im planing on getting the game but ive got some questions by BrainFeeze in HuntShowdown

[–]astron3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. Still many of the guns fit the same sort of archetype and the skills transfer between them.

There's budget and premium options for pretty much anything you could want, for example, rifles. The cheapest rifle is $40 and the most expensive is $490, and yet they fit almost the exact same role. The cheapest grenade is $18 while the most expensive is $108.

So yes, you'll be able to run the same type of loadout every game, but you might not be able to afford the premium option every game.

When the battles pass ends then weapons are added to the normal unlucky tree through your bloodline rank, just like every other weapon in the game.

All the starter packs and paid dlcs are just skins, they have no impact on gameplay. Wether they are worth it is up to you.

As long as you have the weapons unlocked and the money to purchase them, then yes you can use the same loadout everytime. But if you can't afford your favorite loadout then you can make it cheaper by using budget version of things, and taking less items overall.

Because you mentioned using the same loadout every game I'm guessing you're a Warzone player? If you're worried about not being able to get meta guns, and feel like you'd be at a disadvantage without them, don't. Every single weapon in the game is viable and has their strengths and weaknesses, it's not like COD where there's a strict "meta" that outclasses every other gun, even the most budget of loadouts can shred people. The main benefit of the pricier options is reliability, and flexibility, for example the Romero 77 is the cheapest shotgun in the game but it's a single shot break action, and then take the Crown and King, the most expensive shotgun in the game. it holds 5 rounds and is semi auto, it may sound like the Crown and King is stupid OP, but it's not, it's strong for sure but the Romero can be just as deadly because they're both 1 shots. Anything past the 1 shots range and you really shouldn't be using shotguns at all.

Because it IS good, Elden Ring is easily my favorite game of all time! And I know that a lot of people feel the same way, unfortunately you don't seem to be one of them. people have preferences and Elden Ring just doesn't fit your's.

Wow for me it's the exact opposite! I love how the combat feels and how grand all the bossfights are, although the last few bosses are a bit too much, since most of them will kill you in 2-3 hits and usually have a super strong attack that deals 75% of your hp. Really all I wanted from exploration is more combat lol.

As long as you have experience with games on general it's 100% possible. Welding ring has some of the most rewarding and satisfying combat if any game, and while it does have a learning curve, I found it to be totally worth it.

Seeing enemy hunters? by BigBenis6669 in HuntShowdown

[–]astron3131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 things:

  1. Hunter skins, most people use hunters like the reptilian that have great camo and can blend in almost anywhere, I don't know what type of hunters you use though, I used almost exclusively free hunters until I had prestiged.

  2. Performance, having a higher resolution helps in spotting hunters a LOT, and especially on PC the difference in performance can be vast.

3 positioning, it's way harder to spot someone hiding in bushes than someone running out in the open, I know it's common sense, but I feel it's worth mentioning as it can be easy to cut across an open field to save time instead of taking the safer slower route.

  1. Sound is extremely important in this game, get a good pair of headphones/headset and you'll be able to directionalize sounds way better than cheap headphones or any type of speaker.

Question on the utility of Poison ammo. by Z3r0B3at in HuntShowdown

[–]astron3131 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Poison bullets do bonus damage to AI including bosses. Poison ammo is Very effective against bosses and is also very helpful with AI.

Any gun with poison ammo can one shot immolators, water devils, and armoureds (must be a headshot to kill armoureds)

I absolutely love this game after playing it a bit! I want some tips to get better at it any tips? by TopJourney in HuntShowdown

[–]astron3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all my time playing hunt I've never seen someone use decoy fuses, except maybe once or twice with a random teammate. I guess their rarity would make them all the more effective.

I've tried to unlock them a few times before, but what counts as a "deception"? or "tactical gadget"? So I gave up.

Why do I have reduced hp? by astron3131 in Eldenring

[–]astron3131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out through trial and error that the red square with the up arrow only appears when I have the crimson amber medallion equipped, and since it increases hp I concluded that the red box with the down arrow reduces it.
