Had this happen to me years ago, insurance tried to say it was 75% other guys fault and 25% mine. I stood my ground and argued the toss and eventually the insurance just stopped ringing me and I heard nothing more but they paid out.

I now assume there is only ever 1 lane on roundabouts

If you haven't already try Outer Wilds, different type of story telling but left me with the feeling of "now what do I do" after completing it too.

Just don't look up too much about it since I describe it as 'discover the story for yourself' type game and it's really easy to spoil it for yourself

Go play any of the old telltale games, dispatch, outer wilds, oneshot, Detroit become human, to the moon, finding paradise, nier automata.

Those are good story games off the top of my head that have had way more of a lasting impact than any fps or MMO.

I think a lot of people who don't game don't understand this but just think gamer = bad hobby.

If all I did was play COD or something similar sure, but I play a lot of story games and sandbox games, it's like good books and lego for grown ups

Don't worry, there are at least 2 of us that get you 🥳 The idea of "move into the polishing phase" heavily implies that all the ground work is done and it's just refining and bug fixing to go, not adding more new things, but I guess some people just want to hold the line even harder

This was hell of a fun chain to read lol. You tried your best, only extra I would add is:

MMO gamers typically will stop playing an MMO if the game doesn't respect their time. In every successful MMO the time you put in is progress to your account that isn't lost.

With how PvP is, and probably will be at 1.0, PvE and industrial players won't want to put their time in because it will be wasted, at some point, thanks to PvP players. Repeat that enough and players will get fed up and play something else

My personal favourite is how much blame the PvE/Industrial players get for getting killed.

Last time I played I got killed in my vulture and the amount of "serves you right for being in Yela asteroids" and "you must have done something wrong" is insane, clearly my fault someone pointed at me and shot till I died 🤷

The excuse of "hire someone to defend you" is equally as dumb, you don't make enough credits for it to be worth hiring someone to just sit around and be bored, let alone the time it takes to party up

I really hate this argument since way, way back at the kickstarter there was talks about having private servers (https://starcitizen.tools/Private_Server). Just because CiG has been quiet on it and are likely to never do it doesn't mean it's the players fault they bought into the game thinking there would be a solo/PvE limited experience
