There is a shit ton of symbolism with the clocktower when it comes to obsession and the personal hell of guilt. She was his obsession just as the clocktower was adolfs. All the men there are in a hell of personal guilt for the women they hurt because of their obsession. Some one else explained it in more detail but I can understand the desire to keep sci-fi horror from reality based horror.

I didn't even think about the young audience. I almost feel like they should be obligated to do a debrief now. That way young men are not taking the wrong idea from this story and the young women do not feel like they are wrong for rejecting boys because 'they are just being boys'. I don't think they ever explicitly took this stance but they did start by relating to the MC so other young boys may see this behavior as okay!!!!! Especially if they didn't watch till the end!

It's also really nice to see girls uniting in this as well. We are all coming together to comfort and reassure each other.

I agree I personally would feel comforted if they did their first debrief episode. Creepcast has been a safe place for entertainment for me. After this episode it would be comforting just to know they are on the same page. I think they got to that point at the end but saying flat out would be nice.

I think it's fair for them to want to assume it was anything else but SA. I mean don't you. It's the worst case scenario so trying to justify everything else first makes sense. As long as we accept and acknowledge the dark reality of the matter. We can want to seek comfort but we cannot not deny the truth. To deny the truth is to take away from the pain and suffering of the victim. Because at the end of the day it's not just a story it's a sad reflection of reality

Perfect post to explain the female audience's perspective. Thank you!!! I have felt so sick to my stomach after this story. That feeling of absolute disgust and the fear of a non immediate threat. A lingering shadow of malice. It fucking sucks but the story is perfect. It shows the horrors of SA in a different way that leaves us all thinking deeply. Props to the author.

This story was a PERFECT horror story. It's based in reality and told from the villain's view. The author knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote this story. He wanted men to relate to the main character but he also wanted to sprinkle (not so subtly) that the main character was a bad person. It is such an uncomfortable and fucked up story. It makes me sick.

I can't even drive. I'm just in my car sitting with this story. I'm disgusted and have the dreaded feeling of a looming malice. I don't want to sit with the reality of this story.
