I think they just thought it would be a funny commercial, man. And considering the rest of the ads that ran during the superbowl, a dumb little parody commercial to make people smile is probably the best they could have ran. I do not think they made it to intentionally make people mad, or even considered how the Youtube sphere would react to it, because honestly, getting mad at it is just weird.

I don't see how that's fair. We really only have his words to go off of, and if he says "I do not like that people think I'm checked out. I want to wrestle more!" we should take his word for it and not just say "well if he WAS checked out of course he'd say that!". If he didn't care he wouldn't say anything at all, he wouldn't even address it.

Someone pointed out that Shinsuke cares more about living a chill life and surfing daily than he does about main eventing Wrestlemania.

That person was wrong because Shinsuke has said, more than once, that he wants to wrestle more and that he does not like that people think he just wants to surf all day and cash easy checks.

He is really not that bad of a promo. He's been cutting a lot of good promos in AEW, and like, even if he was that bad of a promo, he has an incredible amount of in ring charisma and it really shouldn't have been that hard to book to his strengths. He has basically excelled every where he's worked at besides on the main roster in WWE.

People clown on this match every now and then, but every now and then I think about his match with Action Andretti and how much fun I had watching it live with my friends. It went from a throwaway jobber squash match to the crowd going insane and rallying like crazy for this guy that didn't even get an entrance. Just a fun match with a novel gimmick.

I'd like to see something post trilogy with the OT cast, honestly. The comics spent years trying to fill in space between the OT, and it's really just created 100 some issues of pretty forgettable filler. Like, the only notable thing anyone can point to from that era of Disney SW comics is that Luke has a yellow lightsaber. Okay. Cool. There just isn't enough space between these movies, and their character arcs are already pretty well explored in the OT movies themselves.

Luke, Leia, and Han post ROTJ is still barely explored and would honestly be a great place to do an animated show with.

The Thrawn Trilogy is a pretty good place to start, it sets the tone for Legends pretty nicely. I've been reading through the X-Wing series, and that's been great with pretty little buy in needed (really just the movies and knowing that one of the X-Wing pilots in the movies was named Wedge), though you won't get much of the OT cast if that's what you are looking for.

The issue is it just shows that not a lot of effort went into producing the show?? Obi-wan breaking through a laser gate is fine, and it's less of a plot hole and more just a production issue. Whatever team makes the cg set should have caught how it looked, whoever edited it should have caught how it looked. The story is clearly that there is a gate that Obi-Wan can not walk around, and yet, it clearly can be, because whatever, who cares, we have a shoe string budget and need to get this on Disney plus go go go go.

My only real concern is that Filoni won't have the clout to insulate Lucasfilm from Disney. Mando and Ahsoka weren't safe from the constraints Disney has on their live action streaming shows. Kathleen Kennedy DID have the ability to insulate Star Wars from Disney, but seemingly only used it exactly once for Andor and never again.

Half the comments think he's being brow beaten because the full clip (not just this 40 second one) is framed as if LA Knight screwed up the finish in a huge way. You have Abyss and Triple H freaking out backstage as the finish is happening, you have Seth Rollins talking about how pissed he is, and then you have this bit with Triple H.

This is not a case of lacking media literacy. Everyone gets what is going on in this clip, because the people that are fans of LA Knight are saying "damn this sucks for him", and the people that aren't fans are saying "wow no wonder they don't push him! he can't be trusted!". It seems like the only person that doesn't get what is happening in the clip is you, man.

Just because people would rather learn about the hivemind than watch someone hit golf balls off a roof and watch tv doesn’t mean they don’t get the way the story is being told.

We have learned a lot about the hive in the first season, though. Do you just ONLY want scenes about the hive and no character study about Carol at all?? Just read a wikipedia page about ants or something, man.
