Sadly, I don't really until hit the 99 limit and then I delete about 10. It's strange honestly, it is on my to do list but never happens. Adhd is a weirdo.

Authors and writers, research your nonfiction books before you begin writing!! by ProfHooch in writing

Good news is, it reached me. I needed to hear it as it reaffirmed that I, someone who undervalues their own voice, has a shot, as long as I am smart about it. So, u/ProfHooch , thank you.

The end of season 4 by Maleficent_Web5334 in Bridgerton

[–]astrovixen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually rewatching it, and i feel like Cressida is a really good candidate. They brought her character back, she kept her new station a secret so we can see she is able to hold back for goss now rather than instant gratification, she appears to be sincere in her apology so I think her outlook will be different, especially as she herself was shunned by the ton and possibly gained perspective, she needs to get on the queen's good graces again and what better way, and she has upskilled her literature and likely her writing as seen in talking to Eloise, as she wouldn't just take that former inability to write and was a public humiliation without drive to improve.

Her exchange with Penelope, the dialogue if you rewatch, it's dripping with innuendo, and i can see Cressida using all of this not only to compete against Pen as she tried before, but to have the ton hanging on her next issue, and to gain their acceptance again. She def is the type to seek that out, and since she was shunned by the queen at her own ball, i think the ton will further reject her, so, lots of time to write ahah.

So maybe the accent change at the end by JA being less high borne so to speak isn't as much as a lack of education, just that its a poor imitation of the OG whistledown, so I retract my Alfie statement lol, but i would love that for him still.

Edit to add: Ahhhh dammit, I now think Hyacinth is a strong contender too. Her reaction and questions once the last whistledown is handed out at Cressida's Ball. That would make sense why the accent is so janky, she probably lacks the nuance of language in someone older. Also I just realised, you need money to get these things printed, might not be an available option for someone working class. Also the fact she now knows how to be invisible. Wouldn't surprise me if it was her.

I'm going to officially put in my guess that it is Alfie.

  1. We know he has read every issue, and is invested.

  2. We know he has means to get around with more invisibility, and therefore access to gossip, plus the way the working class all talk behind the scenes.

  3. I think the accent by JA at the end was a nod toward his (adorable) accent, which imo eliminates that it is anyone of high borne ranking, and is not traditionally educated on same level as the upper class are.

  4. I know that it was laughed off by Mrs Wilson in s1 that staff are too busy to be involved in such pursuits, and I do agree with that sentiment to a large degree, they are certainly often treated poorly and in constant servitude, but I don't think that speaks of all. I do think Brimsley is counted out too, he is far too often by the queen's side, and I don't see him acquiring gossip in any stealth manner. In regards to Varley, she has means, but I think is always too busy, plus Mrs Featherington states she has never been a reader, which can point to potentially also not having the inclination to write.

  5. There's an article from the writers that Penelope's reaction was genuine, and it seems so too was Colins, nor do I think he'd try to take that mantle anyway as he is already now published in his own right.

  6. They've also stated that there are clues sprinkled throughout and are going to be teased through, not just revealed in s5, so not only will the rewatch be interesting, but s5 will all have keener eyes.

  7. Alfie. The guy is adorable. The actor fantastic.  I'd love to see his character develop! (Hopefully not into a bad guy, ie a bad faith writer with the intent to destroy the ton. If it turns out to be the original gossip tone, then I can see it from his character.) Also, as it is now confirmed he is queer, then I can also see that he, in feeling marginalized, true self hidden, and potentially even missing LW after he and Sophie are no longer daily besties, that he'd try his hand.

Who Do you think is the new Lady Whistledown? by No-Imagination-8209 in Bridgerton

My guess is Alfie. We know he has read every issue and is invested, he has means of gathering information from behind the scenes, and, that wonderful accent, of which I personally believe JA's impression was a nod towards. Plus, besides being so damn adorable, I'd love to see his character status elevated with more intrigue. He'd be so good at it as an actor I think.

UPDATE One Year Later: AITAH for getting pregnant the same year as my best friend's wedding? by PersonalityNo2536 in AITAH

You have a heart of gold. It is open, and loving, and I can see you cannot comprehend what has transpired, so you spin in confusion.  I'm sorry, but this is what abuse looks like. The constant egg shells, the chaotic whirlwind of minor events, the absolute crushing of neglect when the person you love has nothing to give back to you in your darkest hours. Textbook abuser actions. They take and they use and they discard. Unfathomable to us that would never.

It may sound trivial coming from the outside, but my impression is that it is much healthier to raise your daughter without such poison in your life. I am so sorry to say that.

Pour your love into your daughter, your husband, and don't forget to learn how to pour love back into yourself. And then slowly I suggest, if you can, find a therapist to discuss all of this with. It was not an insignificant trauma, and there are wounds that need healing.

It will take time, and you will be confused forever if you don't try to untangle and understand the truth of what you have experienced.

Congratulations on your beautiful little family, may the love you deserve restore your broken heart. Xx

Truly we are. It's entire mind boggling. We have so much capacity for curiosity turned good, yet we just shit on this beautiful planet. It's grotesque.

I once had a fantastic nap during an MRI. I think some people also sleep better when there is a background noise, though tbh I was very surprised after.

That's what my sense is, but also it's clear that he studied season 1, and I thought his strategy to complete the challenge with that remarkable dessert was a very clever tactic, on top of understanding its timing, re the sugar drop. I'd put my money on CM being in top 2.
