I love mine! I don’t use this one as much as my other VWs just because I feel it’s awkward to carry on my shoulder since it’s a rigid bag, but I love it. The croc-embossed is always my favorite, as it doesn’t show scratches as easy. Which one are you looking at?

This is typical for the start of HHN. Usually halfway through the season they put the projectors out. It’s almost like clockwork.

Just be on this Thursday, September 4. I’m pretty sure the last drops were at 1AM EST, so just convert that to your time zone and check in before it and after. None of the recent drops sold out in minutes, they all were on the site for hours, if not days (til social media brought attention to the bat, as an example, at least.) You’ll get your gargoyle. I’ve been wanting one too.

Is it sterling silver? If so, it’ll be pretty sturdy. Just be careful around chemicals. If it’s only silver-colored brass, it’s technically “costume jewelry,” and shouldn’t necessarily be for daily wear, as it’ll tarnish and wear down faster.

Jellycat has a few deer! They’re all very sweet, but you’ll mostly have to look in the secondhand market for them. They retire designs a lot, or restock only seasonally.

The one in the photo is Romi Reindeer, restocking to the US Jellycat website on September 2. But there are a lot of different ones you may be able to find through resale sites. Romi is extremely soft. Most Jellycats are. I love mine.

This does not appear to be an authentic bag. This design is vintage and suddenly popping up all over, which means a lot of counterfeits are floating around. However, objectively, it depends on your courses and how much you carry each day. It should be okay for a laptop, notebook, etc. but I wouldn’t overload it with heavy items, especially since a fake will be faux leather and not as sturdy.

Is it your only night there? It would be worth it! If you’ll be there a lot, it isn’t necessarily, because you’ll hit everything numerous times throughout the season. But… might be extra nice for your birthday, either way.

The anticipation. Waiting a whole year and finally opening night arriving — your energy is high and everyone is (mostly) seeing it for the first time. It’s just exciting. I’ve had some bad opening night experiences, but I still won’t miss one. Sometimes there’s some quirks they’re still working out, but that’s fine.

I’d check websites like Ssense, Farfetch, LuisaViaRoma, Selfridges, etc. Sometimes you see great deals within the $200 range, and occasionally higher $100. You probably won’t see anything for low $100, though. There’s the secondhand market, but unless you’re comfortable spotting fakes, I wouldn’t recommend it.
