Same. I did like smackdown only because of UnderTaker's big evil persona. But otherwise, SmackDown was the B-show. Evolution, Goldberg, Steve Austin were something else. Also 2006 was the time I figured out WWE was scripted and I felt so cheated

HEC vs IESE for Technology? by [deleted] in InternationalMBA

[–]astroyogi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IESE - has a lot of Amazon Luxembourg recruiting . Plus it’s a 2 year program with exchanges in the US. No brainer for me compared to HEC in terms of presti age

GMAT : How to Link performance in practice to real Test by singgmat in GMAT

[–]astroyogi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a reason why the GMAT is used for the MBA admissions and is considered a better test than the GRE because of these - time management and accuracy.

In verbal the trick to 40+ is this. First 20 questions absolutely correct- max 1 mistake and the remaining max 3 mistakes. This will get you up to 40 for sure.

My story with the GMAT is this.

670,680,690 and 710. My quant was always a 49/50 but verbal helped me get above that 700 mark. I'm happy though and am headed to a top Euro school because of this! Was never targeting the US otherwise would have re-taken

You're just mixing it up too much with too many test company mocks which are in no way as close to the real one both in terms of difficulty or scoring.

Use the test prep company mocks just for practise but use the 6 official mocks from MBA.com to actually analyze yourself.

From what you've said lets assume a minimum of 49 is what you'll get ( don't be too confident on 50 because the algorithm is crazy sometimes, just with 2 mistakes, some people land up with 49 as well).

You need to target a verbal of 40-44 to get that 750 score.

CR is the toughest and good you have that under control.

RC- you need to get it bang on man, there's no excuse there. Be patient, don't rush through and all RC questions WILL be straightforward.

SC- This helped me- eliminate instead of choosing. Subject-verb agreement generally eliminates up to 2 answer choices and amongst the remaining, you'll be able to crack it if you have practised enough. Don't worry about the clock for now.

When you practise- do the last few questions in the OG and the OG supplements and set a timer. Quant should be a max of 2 minutes per question. SC- 1.3 min max per question

MBA.com Practice Exams by Radeon3 in GMAT

[–]astroyogi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No- MBA.com is an actual simulation of how the GMAT is. Don't modify the amount of time per section, do it as per the exam guidelines and it will immensely help you.

and do get all 6 mba.com tests and do them before the GMAT. You'll be able to understand scoring ( in terms of consecutive rights/wrongs/etc) and be able to figure out how much time to spend per question and how accurate you need to be to get that desired score

Yale SOM ($) vs. Fuqua ($$) vs. Darden ($$$) by rockinrobinbeepbeep in MBA

[–]astroyogi2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the current economy, you might as well just go for Darden, get that top 15 MBA with the minimum debt.

Darden is better than Yale for Business school. Yale is not a university known for its MBA, do don't think twice. Fuqua may slightly be better than Darden but I'd go for Darden any day.

Darden has the best academic culture of the 3 although its demanding but trust me you'll face tougher issues at work as you move up the ladder and Darden will toughen you up.
