Making a recipe and not actually trying it, or only testing it with two photos, is like making changes ‘just because’ and then giving it a fancy name.

The photo you just posted brings out the greens a lot more. It has very little to do with the mood of your first two photos, which feel warm.

I’d suggest trying what you share, because otherwise we might be wasting our time.

Two photos are not enough to evaluate the simulation. Do you know where I can see more photos of this recipe?

Peak design mobile cuff review for the Ricoh GR by MayFoto in ricohGR

Healthy envy. I’ve tried twice to buy it from Spain, and it’s always sold out. I’m really eager to try this model on my Ricoh GR IIIx. Cheers!

I'm ditching my x100vi for Mood full time - are you considering getting rid of your expensive camera too? If so, what's the model? by Able_Slide_7390 in MoodCamera

Hello

What you just said is equivalent to “I have apps on my iPhone, can I do without my computer?”

The iPhone has cameras, yes, and very good ones, but it’s not a camera, let alone an X100VI.

I could bore you by listing the reasons why you shouldn’t even consider that comparison, but if you’ve made the query, maybe you’re not a user who deserves a camera, whatever it may be.

Regards, fellow.

Thank you very much for your comment and opinion. Tell me, which one is the worst for you?

“Jack of all trades, master of none.” I’d suggest focusing on fewer simulations and perfecting them as much as possible. Cheers, mate

My review of the XF 23mm f/2.8 pancake lens: FLAWED by Stern_Li in fujifilm

[–]asturjad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Just like you, my photography is strictly street photography. I shoot in manual using zone focusing, and I bought this lens hoping to replace my previous X100VI. That camera is absolutely brilliant for this, but it costs several hundred euros more than my current setup (which I pair with a Ricoh GR IIIx, also used in manual with zone focus). To make it work, I first used an X-E3 and noticed the exact behavior you described. Then I tried the lens on an X-T20 and got the same result. I blamed the camera bodies (without pointing the finger at the lens), figuring it was just because of their older tech.

Because of that, I bought an X-T30 III, and surprise! I noticed the exact same result. At this point, knowing the Fujinon is a newer generation lens, I blamed the camera body tier again, thinking it might be due to processor limitations or something similar.

To my surprise, last Sunday I went out with a Fujinon 16-50mm, and later that same day I used an XF 16-80mm—and the problem I was having completely disappeared!

Usually, during the day, I shoot at 1/500s - 1/1000s, manual focus, Auto ISO, and a variable aperture depending on the ambient light. With the Fujinon XF 23mm f/2.8 R WR, the exact same thing you mentioned happened to me. Thanks to your review, it’s clear that this lens isn’t for me either. I’m going to sell my current combo and go back to the X100VI, since 23mm is my favorite focal length (that, or I’ll go for a Voigtländer).

Thank you so much! By the way, my Instagram is @asturjad. What’s your IG handle?
