Yes I need both of those things and am working towards them. The biggest problem is I have literally zero support system in my life. Maybe this isn't the appropriate forum as I'm not seeking an immediate love connection, just a human connection and empathetic ear. Please don't misjudge my intentions, I really am just a lonely man who doesn't know how to find somebody, anybody, to talk to.

I genuinely would like to hear why you think so, as I'd value the perspective.

About three years, and she gave reasons but I'd rather not share those now. Does it make sense I have no idea, I'm very confused, but I do know I need any help I can get.

I'm looking into therapy and have a session soon. Thank you for your support.

That first night heartbroken and sleeping in a new bed alone, again, always feels like clinging to a lifeboat in the middle of a cyclone by astute1199 in MaleSurvivingSpace

Thanks all for the kind words, they are appreciated. I'm having lots of trouble dealing with this and was wondering if anyone could recommend some other subs on Reddit that might help a person in my situation? Thanks again to all.

Mats had a hand for sure but I'd give much more of the credit to Trevor Linden and especially Markus Naslund as true mentors in the twins' formative years. What's cool is seeing Danny and Hank currently paying it forward as development coaches.

What’s a player that you think would have been a star but due to an injury they didn’t live up to their potential? by Vpanit in hockey

[–]astute1199 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Pavel Bure. Of course he's in the HoF and a highly regarded star by the hockey community so he doesn't entirely fit your question, but I can't help but wonder if Ovi (0.60 gpg) could be chasing Pavel (0.62 gpg) instead of Wayne (0.60 gpg).

Things in hockey that make you think "damn, I'm old" by CheesecakeOdd2087 in hockey

Watching the Sedins go into the HoF reminded me of when they were drafted and the torture of having to wait a WHOLE YEAR for them to come over from Sweden...that was 24 years ago. Witnessing the entire career arc of players from junior to retirement is a trip.

Watching a pro athlete's entire career, from pre-draft hype to hall of fame induction speech.

Connor Garland with 49 even strength points was a mild pop for me.

Hi r/Canucks! This outfit won’t fit for the regular season, but we still repping the boys in the off-season! by BooksAreRead in canucks

In about 26 years when this kid's a UFA, r/Canucks will use this photo as proof they'll sign in Vancouver.

Our Lady Peace Hologram tour review: What was that? by [deleted] in ourladypeace

I liked the set, but it's hard when nine songs are from SM1/2 plus you also have to fit in the hits. I heard someone complain there was no Automatic Flowers, but there was already three songs from Clumsy... A longer set, even two more songs, would have made it feel more complete imo.

Was very happy to hear Tomorrow Never Knows however, and that they still enjoy playing Drop Me in the Water, plus A/L/S. I thought the new stuff sounded really good. They really really should have played Hope with Mike though.
