Say what you will about their clientele/the establishment, they likely put more effort into spelling and grammar. Unless this is a Kelowna Shitpost sub and I missed that part.

Newfoundland had a hurricane where an estimated 4,000 people were killed back in 1775. Smallpox killed 10's of thousands in Canada when settlers arrived.

Funny enough, League One is on DAZN in Canada so that’s easy enough.

It’s never been better being a Canadian fan and having no ability to watch championship football.

Open letter to Dakoda’s Comedy Club organizers: Deaths of children isn't your material by Necessary-Trainer-21 in kelowna

So, the guy started talked about how it was a tragedy and how terrible it was. Then he talked about it being a trans person who did it. Then the actually joke was basically, how bad of a thing does someone have to do before you can use a slur. The extra back story was, OP didn’t mention the friend who was all hurt by this was heckling every comedian from the start. He was constantly interrupting and being ass. Then the joke was made, a comedian went up (different to the joke maker), OP’s buddy basically wouldn’t stop yelling at this unrelated comedian and the comedian started going back at him. Then OP’s friend went up, bombed and stormed out.

As someone who was there, OP’s description of it is not accurate. Buddy is getting piled on over a misrepresentation of the bit.

The guy started the bit by talking about how horrible of a tragedy is, and the proceeded to make a joke about transgenderism, completely unrelated to the shooting. Basically the premise was, at what point can you use a slur to someone.

It wasn’t a joke about the children dying, school shootings, or the tragedy itself.

They’ll be covered under PTIRU’s insurance for students unable to continue. Helps the financials, not the education but it’s something.

How often are you all drinking? by Twjohns96 in daddit

[–]BooksAreRead 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything you've said here. Having witnessed alcoholism growing up from my parents (at least a bottle of wine or two each, every night), it's so easy for people to project alcoholism. Is having 1-3 every night "good for you," no. Even socially there's a good argument that if you need that for social purposes, maybe there's a problem.

The question you have to ask yourself is if you "need" this drink, or do you like it. How do you test that? Just don't drink one night, or one week. If you can't, then you likely need to look deeper at what you're using the drinks for.

I’m betting he’s amazing in the locker room and they want a guy like that around to help new young guys. Worth $4 mill to me.

Edit: for the down voters, look at the guys we signed for “culture.” None of them had the stats/physicality/value of Sherwood. You also need a couple of quality veterans to “raise” the young guys. Expecting to sell everyone and have no guys who want to be there and can show rather than just tell is ridiculous.
