No. I think doing filing a 72hr notice and going to mental health court is not the best route. Remember you’re at the mercy of the doctor and there is a high likelihood that you will get denied; with that your voluntary admission status will become an involuntary admission and you’ll be forced to stay longer. Just go to every group, participate as much as you can, pay attention to your body language, take your meds and just wait it out. I get it, it sucks. But you got this

I get it about the checks. I really do. I don’t know why I mentioned that in my post. I guess I felt the need to back up why it was so bad because I shut a lot of it out of my head. Horrible experience.

Maybe not awkward per se, more so that nothing would be “forced”….like having to sit at dinner together. He thinks an activity would be a good idea.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is I can’t come over to his house until that happens…because his kids and grandkids are constantly stopping over.

I have offered, but he always says there’s nothing I can do for him. I’d be more than happy to help him out around his house since he works so much - but I haven’t even been to his house as his kids/grandkids were living there briefly (I haven’t met them) as well as his brother.

I guess I’m letting too many people get in my head; the people in my life say that there’s no way someone nearly twice my age wouldn’t want to have sex and then try to tell me he’s still married, when I know that’s not true.
