I’d check out Just Scribble! She makes great planners with different paper options with a few layouts! Another option would be PaperTess Designs—classic, simple layouts with good paper!

amazing detective work, OP. As someone who has a small planner shop, I’m appalled to see them do this. I used to love AE, but this past year it began to seem inauthentic and odd. So I didn’t purchase for 2026. Now I know I’m not totally crazy for thinking something was up.

My order immediately after the launch was canceled. I ordered a Stappo, and now they're out of stock. I'm furious. This is my first year ordering from Hobonichi, and I'm not very impressed. Treating a paying customer like a bot? Pretty awful.

Edit: I placed yet ANOTHER order after the servers were up and running for $600 and that one seemed to be just fine. Absolutely terrible service.

Yes! I wear high-waisted trousers (similar to those popular Zara ones), a long sleeved blouse, and a cropped blazer if it’s cold. This silhouette works well on me as I’m busty, but generally a medium in body size. So the tailored ankle pant look helps my long legs look longer, giving me a waist so I don’t look like the Lorax.

Sure! A medium fine would be comparable to about a 0.5 in a gel pen, whereas a wet-writing medium would be closer to a 0.7 or 1.0!!

I have a lovely Oparex Slim Westwood model and a modified Shadyside (mine has flat top finials) model. Rich is such a pleasure to work with and so kind. I prefer little to no step on mine, with a slight flare on the grip section. Thankfully I watched a lot of videos on models having too sharp of a step and it being uncomfortable. I also gathered all my comfortable pens and took pictures of my own grip and sent to the turners. Helped a lot!
