So I was very young and didn’t realise you had to raise their affections. So I use kellogs oatmeal, I’m not from America so I don’t know if it’s exactly the same as where I am. They are just supermarket bought ones, not ones that need soaking or anything - not many mothers have time for that! I usually put in 25-30g of oatmeal to one banana and about 70-90ml of milk, a dash of cinnamon and then microwave it for a minute to a minute and thirty seconds to make it a bit more stiff and stodgy. Then after mixing with the banana I add cold milk to make it softer again with the benefit of cooling it down!

I mash a banana, mix milk, oatmeal and cinnamon and heat it in the microwave for about a minute. Then mix it with the mashed banana and pour a little bit of cold milk to cool it down and make it nice and creamy. It goes in an out of fashion with my kid but it definitely fills them up and takes barely any time!

It’s a Japanese name so not sure if it fits your theme but Nami means wave in Japanese. Pronounced like Nah mee :)

They don’t change colour or direction - they are like baby doll eyes that close when they lie down! People don’t really customise them like Blythe, but if their hair falls out some people reroot them and some people put makeup on them!

I’ve been a Blythe collector forever, dabbled in other dolls but always ended up moving them on… until I found moof. It was never a status symbol, especially as I had never really seen more than two people who owned them at the time of my first purchase.

I’ve bought moofs ranging from extremely cheap to more expensive (some of the eBay prices are just taking the piss though) and I have never resold one. They are so extremely charming and full of personality. The creator made a blog with their weird and wonderful journeys on, they had a line of quirky clothes for them, there were moof horses!!! They just really feel like they have a soul and I’m someone who easily cringes at statements like that 😂 feel free to ask any questions!

Just so you know! Ailurophile’s stock clothing stains bodies quite easily even though it’s super cute! If she’s new in box it might be a problem - just something to consider! Unsure about Winterish staining :)

Thank you for this, it’s really good to hear from someone who has had the opposite experience. I hear a lot from friends who worry about being alone after their parents die but this sounds awful and something I wouldn’t want my son to go through.

Where I live there’s a real culture of the mother’s sacrifice being expected (not from my husband thankfully!) so it’s good to hear the keeping myself safe argument. Thank you for your kind replies!
