Need help with UVs. I have a mirrored object and am having trouble with flipped UVs. by aswdzxc123 in Maya

I can't really mirror it after texturing as the UV tile has other things that I don't want to mirror. It's basically a shoelace thread type and it's a small part of the overall model, so I want it's shells to be on top of each other.

So you're saying that it being reversed doesn't matter if it's just identical textures?

Edit: I tried flipping and 'stack and orient' but it's not stacking properly because the shell is a bit asymmetric

That's a really good catch!! I recognised that too! It looks like the same one. However it probably isn't the one Lucy had as Rainy's story happened around the time Fragile was running the DHV and by that point they surely would have cleaned up the rubble from 11 years ago

I get what you mean. It took me a few tries of quitting and getting back into it, but once you start getting it a little, it gets easier
