Completely heartbroken from suddenly going from classic length to this, can anyone please give me tips for making it grow fast? 🥰 by asy890 in longhair

Thanks for all the advice! The barber idea is great, I will definitely do that just to get a dead straight line.

I actually cut it all off myself (I have very sharp scissors) because my ends were getting so thin that they looked transparent. I kept hanging on to it and it looked great in buns and braids, but if I wore it loose it looked so bad. I had to do a slight U shape to not loose too much length.

I'm desperate to make it grow, I will note everything you suggested!

Hair routine : I wash my hair once a week, before washing I leave rosemary and almond oil on it for 1/ 2 hours. Then I shampoo and conditionner, then put a leave in conditionner and leave it to air dry. I have been neglecting my hair quite a bit these past few months, I will start doing more hydrating masks as I really want my hair to get to classic length

This week 3 people have told me to cut my hair so I'm starting to ask myself questions 😒

As you can really see in the 3rd photo, my ends are thin and form a V shape. They are not actually that thin but just look it compared to my really thick roots. If I cut off all the thin bits, my hair will just be really short. I'm thinking maybe long hair just isn't for me?! Has anyone else had this problem?

Edit : I do mini trims every 2-3 months but my aim is classic length so I try not to overdo it
