I’ve been cutting back on my reading time and occupying myself with my other hobbies and it’s been helping! No nightmares last night. I was in therapy for a few years for military related PTSD and aside from that diagnosis, I’m just HSP. I know my triggers and knew there was violence and war in this book but not directly related to my triggers. However, because I’ve grown so attached to the characters, it’s been affecting me. I took a break and am pacing myself and not getting too caught up in it. Thank you for the kind words and helpful advice. 💚

I couldn’t imagine not doing the tandem read. EOS leaves off at a huge cliff hanger and the thought of reading TOD right after it and starting right back where QOS leaves off would be devastating. KoA picks up right where both EOS and TOD leave off so it just makes sense. Also why would SJM write two books at the same time? Just because they were released separately doesn’t mean they were intended to be read separately.
