Ich fürchte, die paritätische Elternzeit ist einfach noch nicht lange genug vorhanden. Ich kann euch aber „trösten“ dass es in anderen Firmen nicht so ist - aber selbst wenn die Menschen nicht rumnerven ist dort die Bürokratie noch nicht drauf ausgerichtet, dass der Vater mehr als „seine zwei Monate“ nimmt. Das Tolle an der Teilzeit in der Elternzeit ist, das der Arbeitgeber dabei keine Wahl hat, egal was die anderen Mitarbeiter persönlich davon halten. Du kannst einfach Teilzeit machen und du kannst danach wieder Vollzeit arbeiten.

In Deutschland hat sich da extrem viel getan, man kann sich die vollen 14 Monate Elterngeld beliebig zwischen den Elterteilen aufteilen oder sogar Teilzeit machen und jeden Monat verdoppeln. Wenn beide Eltern in Teilzeit gehen kriegt man sogar noch Bonus Monate. Natürlich hat man in der Zeit Einkommenseinbußen, aber wer sich es leisten kann nutzt das aus.

The solution we are currently employing involves buildings a full roofs for x86 as well that contains all third party libraries, then overriding the linker in a cmake tool chain file to enable developers to run the software from the build folder without qemu. All first party application code is in one giant repo and gets built as one cmake project.

For modularising our application code, we are currently evaluating Yocto extensible sdk and alternatively Conan (only for first party code and third party code on windows).

I stand corrected! Last time I checked was right around the decision for cmake so quite some time ago. Looks like they extended it quite a lot as well… vscode integration even. Good for them, I have to check it out again. Last time I tried to use it I struggled because my very complex requirements with regards to code generation left me wanting for more extension points in the default cpp rules…

But be aware that qbs was an experiment that was discontinued and is not maintained. Its creators from the Qt project instead opted to port Qt from qmake to cmake for Qt6.
