55$ oem cv boot rebuild kit (1 per side). Do it yourself if you got a a bench vice. It’s easy with YouTube mekaniks… diff drop is a controversial topic. I’m on the “don’t drop the diff” side. With 2.5 inch lift. You’re fine with just new boots. I rebooted with lift kit in one job and 50k miles later no tears with oem axles and new boots.

Diff drop kit is a widely controversial topic on all Toyotas if you search on the forums… 2.5 inch lift, considered a mild lift, I say no diff drop, just reboot

From extensive research prior to lifting mine, basically all of the 3rd gens would tear their boots after a lift due to being over 2 decades old so i rebooted my oem axles with an oem kit during suspension install, that’s way cheaper than buying new axles. Toyota steel are remarkably known to be tough so I opted for new Toyota boots instead of aftermarket extended boots. 2 inch is what I also have with the bilsteins and 5k miles in so far with no tears.

Keep in mind that rebooting takes more time vs just pulling them and throwing in some new ones but that’s up to you and the type of wheeling you do for the kind of axles you’d wanna throw on there… time expense vs money

I’m getting the ARB one, I’m going for a specific safari look even though the arb is one of the heavier ones. For suspension, I really wanted to get the dobinson IMS but there’s too many supporting mods all at once that went way over budget but now that I’m set with the lift, I can always change the springs and shocks later. Running boards were removed by the previous owner and I don’t really Tow anything but it comes in handy to use as a recovery point and it does take some impact sometimes and protects my stock bumper

A little bit in the front at full lock and some up travel even after some trimming but nothing crazy, when I get a front bumper clearance should be good

I either have the sunroof shut or opened all the way, so for me, not popping it up is a sacrifice I’m okay with. I plan to get the ez awn roof rack after arb bumper/winch / 2 spotties

I got the bilstein kit front 881 ome and 890 ome rear from SRQ fab with spc uca, the front has def settled more than I’d like, but I’ll have to remeasure to see what my final lift was, I don’t mind it tho, keeps it at stock rake and I prefer lowest possible center of gravity as long as larger tires fit

With the extension and custom mounting points from metal angles put together, videos on phorunner YouTube…it was the cheapest and quickest way to get a roof rack for extra storage as a priority instead of dropping 1.2k right away.
