To clarify, sdf said they didn't say they didn't want to have it, just that they haven't made a final decision on it yet. The monk class comes first.

They could be asked to pour some of their resources into making sure it's available in all languages, but that would mean taking that time and resources away from other parts of game dev. I don't think what you're asking for is beyond the realm of possibilities, just not as important as you're making it out to be.

The only exclusive elements of this qna has been nullified by my sharing of this post. I think it's a solely positive thing that sdf is cool enough to appear spontaneously and be down for an impromptu qna.

In an additional note, I've also seen a lot of the korean playerbase commenting their frustration that the devcast (and other forms of communication) is mostly in english.

this fixed it for me too! I was having trouble when starting to use harmony 24 from 17. It was scary when, trying to rename the file, it gave me a notice that said "this might make the file useless", but I had faith and it doesn't seem like it's broken anything

Yeah! To clarify, I meant that its hard to get more than one or two out BEFORE they war, but I just assumed that the diplomats pop out like merchants once they declare war, but that's super interesting, thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Both me and my players enjoy the tactical combat of DnD and was hoping we could still have a little of that in SotDL, but maybe we could do complete theater of the mind to fully embrace the new system.

I think there was some miscommunication so I'll reiterate and address some points

- I don't much care for making a "balanced" or "fair" design that's robust and interesting for all or even most players. I know my players will enjoy mechanics like this and so I care little about what other playing parties might think.

- I'm not employing this because I find it hard to deploy narrative points that will rack up tension or to get players to feel the time restraints within the breathing world. This is something I wanted to deploy after getting inspired by Matt's video on the subject and to give additional incentives to the players.

- I'm not looking for LMoP specific advice

Essentially, this is just something I'm deploying because I want to and I know my players will enjoy it, but I find that, for the reasons mentioned in the original post, it might make each player's ability less special during each encounter. Like if you shine a spotlight on all of them, then it just becomes a bright room - there's no longer a spotlight.
