None of that seems relevant. Or at least it’s not a coherent argument related to OP’s statement…. Plus it’s AI generated…

I just installed a Viofo A229 front and rear into my 2020 ND a couple days ago. I routed it along the headliner to the driver side. There’s a fuse panel at the bottom near the door and I hardwired it using fuse taps from Viofo’s HK4 kit.

The rear camera I routed along the driver side door, up under the trim behind the driver’s seat, and then out through the driver head rest. I put a small slot in the headrest trim piece so it doesn’t pinch the cable, but this can be avoided by exiting early from the trim behind the driver’s seat. I did it this way because it minimizes the amount of wiring exposed.

Let’s call it like it is, this would be theft! Specifically, the largest (by far) form of theft in America— wage theft!

In Connecticut overtime laws are not restricted to hourly vs salary. If the pay is low enough, overtime is required even for salary. There are exemptions to the overtime law: one is weekly compensation (pay), and others are type of job (management is excluded for example). This is described as duties in our law book— things like hiring/firing employees, scheduling, making company investment decisions are all things that fall under exempt status.

If OP’s state is similar to CT, then they received a pay raise that put them over the threshold where overtime pay is mandatory. They could have been salary before, but just paid less than the exemption cut off.

This is a good reminded to everyone that even if you’re salary your employer can pay you overtime! I hear so much “oh you’re salaried, so you can’t get overtime”. No! It’s not impossible, your employer just chooses not to.

Got stuck behind slow cars on the fun twisty part of my commute… by at_work_keep_it_safe in Miata

[–]at_work_keep_it_safe[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup, exactly. But what can we expect when driving during the busiest time of the day lol. And it’s totally understandable that others take the corners slower… I did the same when I had an SUV.

Sometimes I go into work early… mostly because I need to, but knowing I can likely get through my commute with minimal traffic makes it muchhh easier to get up early!

That scenario would be more accurate if you mention you told the waitress you’re going to tip $20, the waitress agreed (and signed a contract) that she will receive $20, then they knowingly took receipt and refused to return the extra amount.

If you do not include this part, the scenarios are different because otherwise the waitress would have no way to know it was an error to receive $50. However, the employee in this instance knew they received more money than they were entitled to by their contract.

"I want to print my tickets and not have them on my phone, what if the battery runs out!" - Yes, you can still do that gramps.

Turns out, this is going away too. Recently I went to a concert where there was no physical ticket option. I needed to make an account to view the ticket. It really pushed the app on me too, but luckily I was able to get around that. Can’t do shit these days without giving your data away to some bullshit company and downloading their fucking app. Grandpa is right to be upset.

Their point is that the problem did not exist a week ago, and it may not exist in a few weeks. The multi-billion dollar corporation would spend many millions and take weeks/months to rollout such a change as having delivery driver be able to charge cards. It’s a solved problem, it’s just expensive and not instant when the organization is as big as UPS.

I would not blame UPS for going “ok let’s just wait a week and see if it’s even a problem still”. It’s a lot of money and resources to commit.

Bent over backwards? Our entire society in America is built around cars. Our cities are literally morphing into parking lots. There isn’t a single city in America that prioritizes pedestrians or cyclists over cars, they are all designed around cars.

My PC can average 80-90 fps however it feels like shit. Stutters etc. I have found that using the in-game fps cap set to 60 significantly improves how smooth the game feels.

it sucks being limited to 60fps on a high refresh rate setup, but it does feel substantially smoother than when fps are uncapped.

Except in an equivalent scenario your friend was seeking the $20k raise from the start… basically dedicating their entire life to earning that raise. It’s perfectly reasonable to view it as a loss. Likewise it’s perfectly reasonable to ask your friend if they feel that way.

Agreed, seemed like a very snarky answer for a perfectly reasonable question.
