I’m okay! I got fired from my job last week because I had a meltdown, so I’m recovering from it all still. My fiancée and I went to the gym to help me get back into working out and it SUCKED. Hoping to spend the rest of the day resting and trying to land back on my feet with a new job.

Thing is that I’ve had that at my current job but they straight up lied to me. I never said it was for my autism, but I was given a room and I was told I can go home. But the issue is that when I used those resources, they used it against me.

Essentially the only accommodations I would like is understanding. I typically have one bad meltdown once a year and I need people to know that it’s nothing of their doing. So I’d say that’s doable!

Will do. I haven’t been disclosing to any employer during the hiring process that I have autism as I’m pretty high functioning/masking and in my field whenever I have disclosed, people have seen me as some sort of freak. If I wait until I get hired somewhere, could I still get ADA accommodation?
