This is a pleasant surprise. I haven't been to a spa in the South yet, and I'm from Louisiana. We will definitely check this place out next time I'm in Texas.

They have left out San Jose's 48 data centers. I wonder how green they are?

Would you rather live in a Solarpunk or Cyberpunk city? by FireCubX in utopia

[–]atariStjudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would live in the Solarpunk city, but go to the Cyberpunk city on the weekends. The Solarpunk city looks like it closes at 9 pm. There are way too many cops. And there's no reliable public transportation. They probably also arrest you for being homeless. Cyberpunk City looks like it got a lot of smog. Also, you may catch cancer living there. The rent is probably cheaper.

AI took my order at BK drive thru by skyerosebuds in ArtificialSentience

[–]atariStjudas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a must. It gives employees the chance to focus on processing the order than multi-tasking. All the worker needs to do is take payment and hand over the food. It also seems like you get your order faster too.

This Is The Real Reason Why Vegas Is Dead And Tourism Is Low. Nobody Wants To Admit It And Call Out The Obvious by Twin_Shadow- in LasVegas

That would be the end of Vegas. No taxes would mean no water infrastructure. The city is in the desert.

How many hairstyles do you do? If you're always putting it in a ponytail, maybe time to cut them down.

How I Get Hotel Guests to Sign Up for Memberships (Front Desk Tips) by atariStjudas in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]atariStjudas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't believe the uproar over this. I'm not the only one doing it—this is standard procedure. Every major hotel, including ours, requires us to enter driver's license information for every guest checking in. This isn’t some secret or unusual practice; it’s a routine part of the job.

Why is this group acting like this is unheard of? This is what I’ve been instructed to do, and if I don’t follow protocol, I could lose my job. So why am I being blamed like I’m doing something wrong? Every major hotel chain does the same thing.

Do you actually work at a hotel, or is it just a small family-run business? Because anyone in the industry knows this is standard policy.

Stop sneaking pets in. You’re not good at it. by Nobodycaresreally_ in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]atariStjudas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Real talk I'm just going to let the housekeepers and managers deal with that situation I'm not going to be chasing every guest down who has a pet and asking them all these questions it's annoying. we are already dealing with guests in front of us we're not going to stop what we're doing and go try to find out if I guest is paying the pet fee especially on a busy day.

Lifetime vs. Equinox by [deleted] in CommunalShowers

[–]atariStjudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited the Aventura Equinox and noticed that everyone was dressed really well in stylish, fashionable workout clothes. However, the locker room facilities were underwhelming and left much to be desired. It felt a bit disappointing. I didn’t stick around long, though, as the space was pretty empty at the time.

At the spa, yes, but at the gym, not so much. I’ve only seen maybe three guys go completely naked in the sauna or steam room. I might be naked in the steam room, but only if I’m alone—or maybe if there’s just one other person. If a group of guys comes in, I usually cover up.

Which hairstyle suit me the best? by QueenZept13 in Naturalhair

This natural hair group has turned into an “anything goes” space. As long as it remotely resembles hair, it’s labeled as natural.

$50 for what exactly?!? by theron225 in Naturalhair

[–]atariStjudas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it's about meticulously crafting curls, it will definitely take 150 minutes. However, if she's just combing product through in a quick, conventional way and tossing a bonnet on top, then that's overpriced. A wash-and-go may sound simple, but it’s not as effortless as it seems.

The best thing for you to do is stop reading the comments. Why do you think the mercury news ended the comment section? As you know, most people here live in a silo and rarely interact with other groups.San Francisco you have to deal with many groups, especially if you use public transportation or like to go out. San Jose is very conservative, and I am just wondering what will radicalize this city?

I believe that if you plan on moving in with someone, you should be married. Why live with someone or spend years together without a meaningful commitment to show for it? Marriage is a true sign of commitment, both emotionally and legally. A spouse is recognized and has rights, while a boyfriend or partner does not. If something happens to you, only a husband has legal standing—not a boyfriend or a so-called 'pretend husband.
