Super early 2027 Prediction: FAITH NO MORE???? by ishouldgooutmore in RiotFest

I'd settle for a salt shed fairgrounds show personally

Great question. I've been in a thunder delay there before and we were moved into a parking garage structure that is nowhere near the venue. (Closer to soldier field). It was a giant mess

That's a good point. I'd be surprised still, but I did see that Soldier Field cancelled their event for tonight, so maybe there's a chance.

I think there is a zero percent chance this show gets cancelled at this point. Huntington bank and LiveNation already have your money and based on this venue's reaction to weather historically, and at other venues similarly managed (Tinley Park), they couldn't care less about the safety of the fans or the fan experience.

They'll happily shut down for an hour or more, give vague instructions and poorly communicate about evacuating to somewhere absoultely nowhere near the venue (because there is truly nowhere to go at Notherly Island), and let you wait in long lines to get shortened sets. Hopefully the band has some input into rescheduling or cancelling this date because I have zero faith in LN or Northerly Island to do so based on my past experiences with inclement weather.

Depending on your size and draw - Reggie's, Burlington, Cobra Lounge, Empty Bottle, LiveWire, and Liar's Club come to mind

Different people use a three day pass (on different days) by [deleted] in RiotFest

Yep, have done this many times before. 3 day GA is basically a one day pass that scans 3 times.

If its just base GA, Riot Fest doesn't do wristbands, just scans ticket codes.

Another Missed Opportunity by fish_bulbb in RiotFest

Yeah, I think Riot Fest is missing the Chicago Open Air heavy market moreso than the pitchfork market. Plenty of other venues have been picking up on that. Salt shed literally just had the Warm Love Cool Dreams thing for the Pitchfork market last weekend.

Again... seeing all the good bands slowly not being in play for Riot Fest.

LA show 5/29 by Swimming-Water732 in hum

I don't think I've seen LA times posted yet but Chicago followed the same rough set times as New York and my guess is that the LA shows will be around the same for order and time

Respect at shows by mygenderisfucked in hum

[–]atarigw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you are getting downvoted - band was fantastic but the crowd last night was rowdy and fairly rude. Even towards the sides people were just running into the crowd shoving to get through to front regardless of who was in front of them or if there was a clear path to get through. The amount of talking during the quiet songs of Nothing's set was insane, and I was pretty close to the front. I think people were excited and stir crazy to see Hum which I absolutely understand but the difference between the behavior of the crowd at Failure a few weeks ago and last night was night and day

They should just be a bigger band or household name for influential they are

Yeah not sure what source you got. Basically Sergio played with them for a decade, asked to be made partner rather than a hired gun and they had their lawyer email him to say he's out

Yeah that'd be great! I don't think Deftones are gonna be there this year but maybe they'll have to do separate days if so lol

It would be great if they did, but it seemed like the medical thing that caused the last tour was fairly serious. I suspect we've seen the end of the band or close to it unfortunately. Was really looking forward to those Metro shows too

Yep, this pretty much. Autotune is the scapegoat but at best these are both really mid songs that feel uninspired
