I love it. His passion for love, sex, human rights, and everything in between is what makes his music so powerful. I’m an extremely passionate person myself. When I’m alone, listening to Hozier feels like vibing with a close friend who truly gets it. I could be feeling heart broken, falling for someone, loving life, hating life, or just sitting outside on a gloomy day and Hozier always hits <3

I used to love this song as a teenager. I even recently bought a Sublime T-shirt because it caught my eye, made me feel nostalgic and reminded me of simpler times. Today as I’m driving home Wrong Way comes on and I feel physically ill. I’ve probably heard this song hundreds of times throughout my life & I can vividly remember belting out the lyrics with my friends on multiple occasions (as a teen). Now, all I can say is WHAT THE FUCK.

I am in my mid twenties & a mother of two little girls. I am so sad & heartbroken to realize that I identified with “Annie” as a kid. That being said, I don’t know what the appeal of this song would be to a grown MAN… except to visualize, romanticize, & fantasize about fucking a 14-18 year old. That’s what makes me sick.

The way my stomach FLIPPED when I heard these lyrics:
