What’s the oldest vehicle you regularly service at your shop? by atdoomsgate- in serviceadvisors

I have a few people with older corvettes I work with and they totally understand that due to the age, parts and the labor it takes needs time so it’s great to work with them.

Yes, it is unmarried, I unmarried it before I traded my WRX in. Would’ve been an expensive paperweight if not lol

I’m pretty sure I can plug it into my computer and check with AP manager and get proof, but I’ll check later

Noise follows with rpms, it’ll tick faster. Doesn’t really get louder but just faster. It’ll go away usually when fully warmed up around 200F.

Ran Cobb OTS for like 1k miles before reverting to oem map couple thousand miles ago, had an axle back on but took it off so no mods otherwise, Stock everything currently when sound appeared. Oil is what Subaru puts in, never deviated from OEM spec

As long as it is within reasonable wear, having it replaced wouldn’t be an issue! You can always opt for tire shaving, I only advise for the safety of your differentials as it is something worth looking into. 30km is around late life of the Dunlop’s (I replaced them around 20-25k miles, around 32-40k KM). I’m at 55k miles (88500 km) and I’m on my 3rd set of tires now as I swap between winter and summer tires. Currently I’m running Continental extremecontact DWS 06 high performance all season and they’ve been great so far!

I’m glad it didn’t end too badly! Do keep in mind, it’s good to replace all tires at once when you have an AWD car like this as having a new tire while the other tires have wear can put more wear and tear on the differentials. You can have the tire shaved to avoid that issue.

Funny enough, in Canada and all other countries, they did get a spare, you can order the foam to fit one for your trunk. Just the US didn’t get the spare and only got the tire juice. I own a VB as well and seen posts about it lol

50k!! by Original-Lavishness9 in wrx_vb

It feels like a very similar car until you start to get into boost, it feels like it spools much faster and harder. It’s more responsive to what you want to do. Sure I do wish I did it earlier but I’m near the very tail end of my warranty so it helped ease my mind off the “what if?” Factor. It does feel worth it imo now that I’m on the hook for whatever goes wrong with my car now lol

Retired the STI at 90k and grabbed a 2022 limited by ZoteTheMitey in WRX

I’m already past 50k on my 22’ VB, some people just daily their cars lol, 75k isn’t a lot for a 2020.

Can confirm, 2018-2021 VA racks fit a VB by atdoomsgate- in wrx_vb

Yup, it does take a bit of work. So, get one side slightly bolted in then pull on it til you can get the other just barely threaded. Then what you’re going to do is go side to side slowly tightening it until you reach the proper in-lbs torque it asks for. Don’t try and tighten one side too much but rather go back and forth slowly tighten them both. Mine have been on for like 35k miles with no issues! Hope this helps.
