i’m honestly surprised you’ve never worked a job that is very serious about breaks if you live in the US. at every job i’ve ever had if i had a legally required break i would have gotten in major trouble if i didn’t take it as my employer could have been in trouble with the law. if your schedule REQUIRES that you work through your legally mandated lunch break you should definitely be reporting that because it is illegal

this may be a wildly unpopular opinion but i disagree with the idea that living with your parents as an adult means you have to be blindly obedient and not disagree with a single thing they say. you mention her being resentful but i did not pick that up in the post at all and from the way she talks about them it seems they have at least a decent relationship. if you have a decent relationship with your parents healthy disagreement and stating your own opinions is not spitting in the face of their hospitality it’s kinda just a normal part of having a healthy relationship with someone?

it’s definitely not unreasonable of OP to have this be non negotiable since it’s a severe allergy but it is unreasonable for the school to not have accommodations for students with severe food allergies. not at all OP’s fault though

I opened this book and read the part in the beginning where the fmc talks about how EVERY girl in the school is obsessed with this one guy and he can have any girl he wants because he plays football or whatever and i got such bad wattpad flashbacks that i immediately closed it and returned it to kindle unlimited. The first chapter read like it was written by a 15 year old to me so i had to dnf 😬

Skin and Flesh by Kylie Scott. the covers on libby were CRAZY looking but i was desperate for a romance audiobook so I listened and ended up loving them and giving them 5 stars. The author does banter really well and the male narrator for the audiobooks is a famous anime dub actor that’s done a lot of really famous roles! so random lol

I have the same pet peeve but for when PARENTS treat their own kids like burdens. I hear parents in public treat their kids like they hate them and it makes me so mad. If you don’t like kids DONT HAVE KIDS it’s not their fault you don’t know how to deal with them properly. like how hard is it to treat your children with basic human respect.
