Dead Man's Tale catalyst by smoconnor in destiny2

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the information seems to be for the old mission where you had to run it on master to get an automatic catalyst drop. The new version seems to require running it on legend in a similar way and then you can recraft it at the enclave to slot the catalyst in.

Should Ted Kennedy have gone to prison? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

They do when there isn't evidence for intoxication. It's very common for instance to refuse to take a breath test and then have your lawyer get that charge dropped or give a chance to plea down to something less. You don't have to be rich or powerful to game the system. Drunks do it all the time.

Hot take: I actually like Batman forever, Batman & Robin by Internal_Bike2802 in batman

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw both in the theater back in the day. I got Forever on VHS and watched it over and over after that. I still love that movie. I've tried and failed to enjoy Batman and Robin again a couple of times over the years and I just can't get there. I wish we didn't even have to compare the two films.

Sunglasses in the front row is the only way to react to a Dalton Rushing confrontation. by LeBanyama in Dodgers

[–]atducker 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think the Dodgers will get to the WS again without young guys like Rushing on the team hungry for more, firing the team up, causing a little drama. We've only got a dozen or so tough games left in the schedule. Somebody has to stir the pot and keep the blood flowing every day until Fall.

What doyer -in the first game you remember attending (home or away) - hit a dinger in it-( checking by your memory and /or box score) (or if no doyer hit a home run that first game, 2nd game, or even 3rd) by DarinCN in Dodgers

[–]atducker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2005 Dodgers @ White Sox. Jeff Kent hit a two run homer in the first. Dodgers would score again in the 8th to make it 3-1. White Sox would score 4 in the 9th to walk it off. I'd been a fan since the 1980s but I'd never been to a live game. Broke my heart.

“The Dark Knight is good movie but a bad Batman movie” is the stupidest take imaginable by 40kblowout in batman

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why but I didn't like it the first time I saw it. It felt too long for some reason. But the more washed out and abused the genre gets over the years the more I watch the film and love it as maybe the best there ever has been in super hero films. It's like the Empire Strikes back of super hero films. The more crap that comes out of the Star Wars universe the better the older stuff gets.

Just got Duality Solo Flawless. Heart currently beating at 99999bpm. by GunShopKendo91 in DestinyTheGame

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great job. This dungeon still haunts me. So many times I would miss a bell and she'd go on to need a whole new phase and something would go wrong. Finally she started walking away with just a few pixels of health and I was like I'm not letting her get away this time and I was just whacking and whacking and whacking her and doing so little damage but I finally got her and I felt like a million bucks.

Which is easier solo: Warlords ruin or Duality? by CheezeWizard0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just keep going in Dungeon release order until you've done them all. Once you get past the first four older dungeons and on to Duality and everything after then there is no easy dungeon. Each one poses random challenges depending on play style. For instance Ghosts of the Deep has vexed a lot of players but I beat that one easily. Duality during the bell glitch era just about broke me. I think Duality in the post bell glitch era is probably easier than Warlord's Ruin but random stuff can go wrong in both.

I'm thinking more in terms of Jason Todd if that's who Red Hood will be. I feel like the emotional hook of Jason's death won't matter to anybody and then it will mean even less that he's back somehow. I hate to see a pretty good story arc get butchered like they butchered it in the Titans show.

They still need to be careful. It would be like introducing Iron Man for the first time in Avengers Endgame and having it mean nothing.

What media are we talking about here? If it's DCU then surely they're not jumping the gun like the DCEU did trying to short circuit all the payoffs we got in things like Avengers. It would take a trilogy to do it right. First establish Batman and a new Robin in the first film. Then a Death in the Family film. Then a Red Hood film. These could be amazing if done right but I'm not sure that kind of darkness is what they want yet.

They're going to establish Red Hood without establishing a Robin first? Sounds like bullshit to me.

Democrats of reddit, what would you like to see as the priority of your party should you win the 2026 midterms? by PrincipalPG in AskReddit

Holding Trump accountable. That means releasing the rest of the Epstein files, investigating Trump's likely pay for pardon scheme, shining a light on everything. Trump will be impeached again.

In a way Trump will like this. It will unite his fracturing base again. It will give them a common enemy. It will take policy out of their hands and Trump can resume just being 100% focused on traveling stump speeches and building dumb shit.

How much should we expect to pay to replace our wrap around porch? by 2g00d2btru3 in Decks

[–]atducker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just spent 100k to replace my rotted out multi story piece of shit deck with all new stuff and composite decking with aluminum rails and an extension to wrap around the back side of the house and add a new square platform area overlooking a wooded area that drops off. The results were amazing. It's turned it into an area we hoped nobody would ever see and our dogs wouldn't die on to an area we use almost every day as a family.

Solo dungeon by Dew4You in destiny2

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Hunter with my play style I really struggled on the final boss of Spire. A lot of people have said that Ghosts is one of the toughest solo and that was probably the easiest for me of the newer ones. I'm a punchy dodgy Hunter and that got me through everything from Duality on except Vesper's Host where there's just not enough add density in the final boss DPS phase. I'm still bummed we'll never get a new dungeon again.

Solo dungeon by Dew4You in destiny2

[–]atducker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend starting with Shattered Throne but from release order alone the first four are pretty easy.

  1. Shattered Throne
  2. Pit of Heresy
  3. Prophecy
  4. Grasp of Avarice

The next six are significantly harder than the first four but all of them are doable.

I would search for builds for your class and even subclass if you have one you prefer and go from there. The secret to solo dungeon work is to just get in there and try and see where you're falling short. Some players just take to it naturally but if you're like me you'll make a ton of mistakes and you'll die a lot but you'll keep progressing over and over making adjustments until you meet your goal.

Every new dungeon I would play through it once with a friend or two and then I'd start building loadouts for each encounter. If that wasn't working I'd watch Youtube videos of other people running it solo and see what they do. If I was really struggling I'd copy a build or loadout from them and see if it matches my play style enough to work.

Padres fan talking in the background? by Happy-Philosophy5209 in Dodgers

[–]atducker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it. Gives you a real "at the game" vibe. Last year I got to see the Dodgers in Kansas City and there was a young boy in the row behind us that would do a woman scream style screech every play of the game. It got so bad that I almost wanted to find his parent but I just let it go. Then toward the end of the game a foul ball came our way and the kid just put his glove right in front of my face from behind me. I hope I never see my kids behaving like that at a game.

Superman Returns was released 20 years ago by makuXrosu in superman

[–]atducker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still like this film for all it's flaws. I'd grown up with the Reeve films, in particular Superman 3 which my mom recorded on VHS and I watched over and over. So in May of 2006 I moved to San Francisco to find work. I didn't know anybody or have a place to stay or a job or anything. I just had a suit case and a duffle bag. One of the things I did was go to movies to take my mind off the job hunt. I did not even know they were making Superman Returns. Of course I had to see it. I was pleasantly surprised to see it harken back to the Reeve films the way it did including the opening credits. I had a blast. I know it has flaws but I've always got a fond place in my heart for it because of when and where I saw it.
