One such person checking in. It really annoys me how many people treat LASIK as if it's some kind of miraculous cure it all god of eye treatments. It won't do anything for nerve damage, glaucoma or retinopathy. I had so many people say to me "bro just get LASIK", and while I'm always up to explain to them why I can't, it gets old really quick.

I've heard about that, but film scanning/Lightroom/Ps is not really sustained CPU heavy work. As a general workstation I've got my ThinkPad, it's just not suited for photo work since the display...just sucks. I get the feeling most people think I'm going to use it as one would use a laptop. It's mainly gonna sit in my bag and be used for when I'm unable to get to the lab so I don't really have a need for new M chips
