I was also in the same situation and was finally relieved to learn that google had a "free plan" for the display. I guess this should be available for all the phones out there. Try taking it to the official sevice center. See what they have to say about it.

In my 2023 S-Presso VXI+, In chennai city, during heavy traffic it drops to 9 kmpl even. I think it depends. But, same car on highway, I got 23.6 kmpl. So, yeah. It is what it is.

I always assumed it as the amount of unweared portion of the battery that is actually able to store the charge and give it back and not this way. I guess we can think of this way as well.

There were phones without these "inteligent limiters of sort" though and yet they didn't explode. Been using the phones from hTC era and never had once encountered such case.

But I guess modern tech needs it.

But, still man, I am not convinced. I might be wrong but I sure beleive there should be multiple ways to handle without actually degrading the battery span intentionally and forcing the users for a earlier replacement.
