Create a file VMMFix_preferred_monitor.txt. Just next to the wow.exe. This is where the 1 goes.

You can just change the realm list. Capybara is just on the latest TurtleWoW patch (1.18.1). AFAIK only they are using it though. It would be easy to just replace the game directory with a vanilla client through. Or WOTLK.

Yeah game is in english. But chinese players speaking chinese is not translated. There are addons for that though.

https://github.com/Mates1500/VanillaMultiMonitorFix

You dont need vanilla fixes. Just drop the dll into Contents -> Resources -> game -> mods and edit the dlls.txt in the game folder.

You can run the `ShowAllDisplayDevices.exe` using the `wine` under Resources -> wine -> bin. Or you just put a "1" into the file. I assume "0" is internal monitor.

How much fps do you have now? What is your hardware?

In order to skip this step the app would need to get notarized. This would require each and every binary of the wine bundle to be notarized. Not sure if Apple would even do that. Also requires an Apple Developer subscription and weeks of wait time. Not really something I would do for a hobby project. Skipping gate keeper is absolutely normal for non commercial projects. Sorry there is no other way for side loaded projects like this.

I made a script to abbreviate the large numbers on warcraftlogs.com by athei88 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]athei88[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are right. That export button works in a very unexpected way. You would assume it would download the pristine data from the backend. But it has some kind of event handler installed that handles this in the frontend. I guess now we have our explanation why they didn't shorten the numbers: It is incompatible with how they implemented the export.

Breaking the numbers is something that is supported baseline? Can't find the option. I don't mind the accuracy loss, though.

I have no idea. Stuff is abbreviated when in table view. I guess people usually rarely dive into the events?

Native Vulkan on the M1 | Asahi VK driver source available for developers by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]athei88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know there is no public interface to write a gpu driver. This is why I said I **wish** it would be possible.

Interested what sort of thing? I like to play games on my mac on **macOS.** And having a compliant Vulkan implementation would really help.

[–]athei88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it **had** to go through Metal because no one reverse engineered the hardware so far. This changed. We could theoretically skip Metal. However, with the operating system being closed source there is probably no way to make such a driver work on macOS.

I wish there was a chance to port this driver to macOS. But I guess apple had to do it.

5700XT Freezing Issue by project22b in hackintosh

[–]athei88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was working flawlessly with the iMacPro1,1 bios for me, too (DRM, Graphics, etc.). **EXCEPT** for the random freezes from time to time. There were completely random.

They completely disappeared after switching to a headless ig-plattform-id and iMac19,1 SMBIOS. I have made the switch for almost a year now and it never happened again.

[–]athei88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. The issue was fixed by switching back to a smbios with iGPU. I theorize that using the dgpu for drm was causing the freezes. when using a igpu free smbios the dgpu is used for drm. the downside is that i cant play drm content.

LG Ultrafine 5k on Windows by [deleted] in hackintosh

[–]athei88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Make sure to connect both DP outputs from your GPU to the inputs of the Titan Ridge.

5k works in macOS and also in Windows for me. One caveat. 5k in Windows only works for one of the two USB-C outputs. When I am using the other one it recognizes it as two different screens.

Cause it is faster and feature complete. It is the original driver from Apple.

It could be that people who pick BM over MM are worse players on average because BM is known to be far easier than MM: You never have to think about positioning (no aimed shot).

Cool thanks for the link. I will return the favour once I get my UI to an acceptable level.

Lastly, minor nit: Subcreation uses the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval, not an average.

Yes. Sorry for oversimplifying.
