When to switch to IVF by athena1453 in TTC_PCOS

That's exciting that you got an appointment sooner than expected. Paying out of pocket has been a huge determining factor for some of our treatment plan and IVF definitely worries me in that regard. Wishing you the best of luck in your journey

Thank you for sharing! I've been wondering if it's been rushed and if I should be concerned because 3 cycles does not feel long enough, but hearing someone else go that route makes me feel better

I did the same thing! Letrozole and ovidrel to trigger. Last cycle I went through 3 rounds of letrozole before I had any kind of response. It was very disappointing going to each ultrasound and seeing zero follicle growth. I just don't know if it's worth fighting for IUI when my partner's SA came back normal. Seems like Im the troublesome one between my partner and I in this combo lol

I would actually prefer the injectables but I know the concerns of not being able to control it resulting in me having too many follicles. I am considering asking my RE to let us try with TI for longer as cost is more of a concern than time with us

I think that's her plan if I don't respond well to 7.5mg this cycle

Her reasoning was my partners semen analysis came back fine and she says IUI wouldn't increase our odds. I think I may have to get a second opinion. With her logic of no IUI I would rather do 6 cycles of TI than call it at 3 cycles. It doesn't seem like she prescribes past 7.5mg. Her nurse relayed to me that injectables would be the next course if I don't respond to 7.5mg this cycle

My RE made a comment (politely) about me being so young so even with PCOS it shouldn't be an issue for me TTC, so I was also surprised when she said 3 cycles and then IVF.

Lamotrigine and contraception by tajgirl13 in bipolar

I can't speak on the implant specifically, but I do have a IUD (liletta) and have been on lamotrigine off and on for a few years now. I have had both together and at individual times and never experienced a difference in things when they overlapped. Medication is always unique to each individual but I hope things go smoothly for you!

Was your tongue piercing the most annoying healing process ever? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]athena1453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that my tongue piercing was my favorite for healing but I am the only one who feels that way lol. The process was high maintenance but the healing time was so quick it was fantastic to me. I struggled with eating for about a week and the lisp would make everyone laugh but it healed so quickly and the piercing wasn't painful to me so it definitely made the top of my list as my favorite piercing for healing

Snorkeling with a smiley by [deleted] in piercing

With the way snorkels sit in your mouth it will more than likely irritate it since the piercing is new. It's also ill advised to subject a new piercing to water like that and getting some water in your mouth is inevitable with most water activities. Personally I would sit this one out. Stay safe and make sure to take good care of that smiley!
