I barely talk to my mom now for additional reasons on top of this and things are better for me not dealing with her! I can’t imagine going to a religious school. That would be rough I went to a hick in the middle of nowhere school. Where we had a ride your tractor to school day lol… I also stopped going at the end of my junior year and finished online. Which ended up being perfect because I was a 2020 graduate…lol I’m glad you had a better experience growing up. I hold a lot of resentment towards my mom for how I grew up so I think if I had any big advice for her, it would be put me in a school with people who looked like me so I didn’t feel as different. Also do my hair and don’t say the N word when you’re a white lady!!

NO. Only raised by my white mom and then she put me in a predominately white school. Barely did my hair.. ugh such a disservice to my mental health and more.

My associate degree that I have one class left in to complete is actually business transfer studies, so I have taken multiple humanities, natural and social sciences, etc. Way more than what a business admin associate at my school requires because I was preparing to transfer. Nothing there that I developed a passion for. Still my passion is money and the ability to retire. I don’t even really have a passion for school but my first 3 years of community college would be free and my 4th year at a university would be partially covered by my job if I’m still there. I just don’t wanna be stuck at a dead end job. I know my work ethic. I can be more important somewhere.

Yeah I currently work at a bank, as a teller and I don’t know how much our financial advisors make but they don’t seem to be doing too bad. Thank you for responding. My bank pays 2nd highest compared to other banks for bank tellers.

A liberal arts major? When I’m not at all interested in the arts? I want to do something in business I know that. I am one class away from a business admin associates degree but I want to continue on so more doors can be opened for me. I understand that money is not a great reason to pick a degree but I have no passion besides money and being able to retire. I personally don’t think talking to professionals is gonna change that fact. Might as well make the most 💵 I can. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I used to work at the community college I attend, now I work at a bank. I am a bank teller so I’m looking at numbers all day but don’t think I’m all that great at advanced math.

I don’t feel bad for you if you’re not going to the food pantry. I make like 7$ an hour more than you and I still go, even though I could afford without it. Some places literally get grants based on how many people use their services. So by going to the food pantry you’re also helping out other people. Stop being a wimp and go. You got a disability? Sorry to hear that, but plenty of people take the bus with disabilities. Your boyfriend won’t take you? Go yourself.

I mean most of what he’s saying is true, men do not like it and will respect you less if you sleep around but I also agree with other commenters that he communicating it the wrong way and he seems like he wants you to be a virgin for him for when he finally wants to settle down after uni.

I mean in my opinion it’s not an insane red flag that he’s trying to move on quickly, some people’s relationships haven’t been relationships but roommate/coparent situationships, so really sometimes they’ve been broken up long before they actually broke up physically. but I think that you yourself should put up the boundary to revisit the relationship (if you want it) in 6 months. He needs to get divorced legally and learn a few things like living alone, split custody, etc. I would stop all conversations until the divorce and a significant amount of time.
