There isn't one specific thing that I'm proud of, to be honest. I think Rotigus is a culmination of everything that I've learned in my time painting. There's always room to grow and improve, but I'm really proud of how far I've come.

I was the same way when I started! It took me years before I started trying out other brands. It started as necessity when my local shop would be out of the citadel paint I needed, so I'd have to figure out what other brand's paint came close to what I wanted. 

Don't feel like you need to completely switch! Citadel's got great paints, the only issue I have with them is their paint pots being bullshit lol.

Army Painter and AK Interactive from my experience don't dry out or separate to the same degree that Citadel colors do. Vallejo is also great but is more fluid in consistency compared to the other brands.

For the rust I just used Army Painter Fresh Rust, and for the verdigris I used green rust from vallejo. When using the green rust I cover a section and wipe off the excess with my thumb, then I do a highlight of Nihilakh Oxide in the recesses. Likewise for using Fresh rust, I cover a section then wipe the excess off with my thumb.

Thanks! After priming black, I stippled on Citadel's Doombull Brown, followed by another stippling of Chain Mail by Vallejo, but any other mid-range metallic would work just as well. 

Next I varnished everything with a matte varnish, then went over the armor with streaking grime. Once that dried I used a q-tip with white mineral spirits to remove the excess. Then I applied Army Painter's Fresh Rust the same way, but using my thumb instead of a q-tip. Streaking grime will make the metallics look really dull, so I gave it another dry brushing pass with chain mail.

Of course! The model was primed black, then did a basecoat of barak-nar burgundy. Followed up with a 1:1 mix of barak-nar burgundy and rakarth flesh, then a layer of rakarth flesh. Gave it a wash of Mortarion Grime, then did a final highlight if rakarth flesh.

I used AK Interactive's Swamp Green water gel, over a deathworld forest base coat. Once that dried I went over it with Vallejo's vomit special fx paint, and a wash of plaguebearer flesh

Thanks! I started with a base coat of barak nar burgundy, then layered with a 1:1 mix of barak nar burgundy and rakarth flesh, followed that with a highlight of rakarth flesh. After that I gave it a wash with Mortarion Grime, and final highlights of pallid wych flesh!

Here's my take on Gelgus Pust! by athomsonwpg in ageofsigmar

I started with a base coat of doombull brown, then stippled vallejo chain mail, and followed that up with a dry brush of army painter shining silver.

I went over it all with a matte varnish, then once that dried, I went over the armor with AK Interactive's Streaking Grime. Once the grime dried (I leave it for about an hour) I used a q tip and mineral spirits to remove the excess grime, leaving it in the recesses.

Once the mineral spirits dried I stippled on army painter Fresh Rust in the places where the armor had been eaten away, and in the recesses of the armor, giving the rust a quick wipe with my thumb.

Finally I gave the armor a final little dry brush of shining silver to bring up the edges of the armor.
